What help and support did all the players receive from the manager at half time. Football is a team game, you as a player can do your best, but if other players for whatever reason are not playing well, your efforts are meaningless. Players who score goals in a losing side don’t enjoy the match because the team lost. The art and science that a manager employs are extremely important during the tough times, tactics and motivations take care of themselves when the team are winning.

 

The forward pass was never on. There was ZERO movement from any player in front of the back 4. It was static, slow and insipid. I booed, not for keeping the ball, but for the fact that when at 0-0 and 0-1 we created nothing and didn't know how to pass the ball forward other than a pointless and aimless lump to no one.

There are different ways to play.

You can play short and be dull and ineffective, and you can be direct and entertaining whilst winning. And vice versa.

What's key is having a reasonably talented group of players, giving them a clear and effective game plan and motivating/coaching them to carry it out.

I think we have some talent- and some holes.

But every game I've seen has displayed to me that we have no cohesive or effective game plan whatsoever.

Collins was an U18 coach with a poor record in the brief time he had the role. He had no merit getting the role at this point in time. His appointment was laughable, made purely because of the vanity and incompetence of our deluded owner. And we're going to pay a price .
