Ive said it from the start Midfield recruitment has been the worst its been for a long time Akpan and Wright are awful.

 

I’d seen good teams tear us apart more emphatically in one sided games. I’ve seen lacklustre performances with more mistakes. I’ve seen horror shows like Blackpool away where the side didn’t give a shit.

But I’ve never seen a more amateur, disorganised and abject display by a Bradford city side. Ever.

But problem starts at the top. It’ll have to get worse before change is effected.

 

I’m not even there and i did’nt expect anything else. He goes two upfront and drops Riley on Tuesday and gets a result then decides to change for today. He really isn’t ready for a job like this at this moment in his managerial career. He isnt helped by recruiting worse central midfielders than last season but this needs to be addressed now the fans have lost confindence in Rahic and Collins.

 

Clapping your hands quickly aint gonna turn this ship around. Collins is his own worst enemy constantly changing stuff. He got a result on Tuesday yet changes the team.
He clearly has no clue what he is doing.

Depends on the context.

Today, any attempts at ‘keeping the ball’ were through a lack of options, because not one of them could be arsed to run into space to try and create an opportunity for a pass.

It wasn’t the short passing people were booing - it was the abject lack of energy, effort and coaching that were so clearly on display from minute one - and if we’re honest, have been on display for 90% of the minutes we’ve played this season.

 

I’m away today so not at the game. Like every fan here we are united in the best for Bradford City. It’s still in recent history we all put are hands in our pockets to save this club,.... the game we love the opera of the working class.
I thought I’d share this with you all.
I’m not local moved from Bradford nearly 20 years ago but like nearly all fans I have the faith and enjoyment in one team. A club we nearly all worship.
So,...
in the midlands I witnessed a Bradford couple buy a property and turn it extremely successfull restaurant in a not so wealthy area. Staff all new their jobs. Front of house staff welcoming and so successful the car park was rammed every working day. The staff went the extra mile. Ker ching
Then a tool came along offered wonga but never run a restaurant! The owner came to our table one eve and brought me a glass of whisky on the house I’d returned from military service in a very hostile country and he said it was least he could do for you boys. A real gentleman.
He said he didn’t want to sell as the community and people love it but he’s all the faith in the new owners.
Within 3 years the place is empty, the experience dire, the menu torn up, the staff left and the foreign owners blinkered to what the restaurant was. The car park is new, the bar done out and it’s empty.
There is huge resemblance to this debacle and the fact is. Once it’s ruined it will go to ruin. The owners will lose some coinage we’ll lose the history and the club we all stand for and think the world of. We should unite to get this fixed literally before it’s too late. As a business man and can see all the flaws. Can we not unite to save this club?

 

Gary Jones embodied the City side under Parky He was the perfect captain.

Josh Wright is the perfect captain for this one.

 

It was toxic because the majority now believe that the only place this chairman, manager and shower of shite on the pitch are taking us is towards league 2 and possibly non league football.
We need big investment in the first team squad and improved performances especially at home to get fans back on board.

 

Yes I would be one of them. However, just because you have never played football doesn’t automatically exclude you from knowing the game. By the way I have never boo’d my team or players, not sure how this helps the players, apart from venting your own frustrations. Don’t turn this onto the fans impatience or implied ignorance, this is about our club being run to a rigid plan that is not working. A manager who should not have been put in this position, and a co-owner who wants to be in charge of everything.

 

If there are no options, we should be coaching the players to move and create options. Which a capable coach would do.

What we saw today (and this season) isn't a style based on patient possession. It's a lack of any sort of identifiable playing style resulting in players keeping the ball for a bit and going nowhere before Chicksen knocks it into touch.

 

Without doubt one of the worst away sides I've seen at VP in years , yet we made them look like Real Madrid. Mindst you with an idiot for a chairman --- an inept coaching staff and a team that is shite should we expect more ? . Very very angry

Get the right guy in charge and a decent squad and our fan base will back you to the hilt. The fans are pissed because we could see what was going to happen. This should never have happened, we are now witnessing the aftermath.

 

The thing is Rog, it is not a question of who is a negative or positive. Every single one of our fans no matter which side of the argument they sat on wanted this shambles to materialise. We all wanted to be talking about the team and players and how good they all were. I didn’t become a fan/supporter to discuss the ownership of the club. I just wanted my team to do well, as everyone else does.

 

Listening to Gary Jones on I follow tells you what we are missing.

No leaders whatsoever

 

Only solution is for Edin to admit defeat, sell up & take his puppet with him. The heart of the club has been ripped out on & off the pitch. If I was Stefan Rupp I would be wanting my money back as Edin & Collins are clearly out of their depth.

 

The forward pass was never on. There was ZERO movement from any player in front of the back 4. It was static, slow and insipid. I booed, not for keeping the ball, but for the fact that when at 0-0 and 0-1 we created nothing and didn't know how to pass the ball forward other than a pointless and aimless lump to no one.

 

There are different ways to play.

You can play short and be dull and ineffective, and you can be direct and entertaining whilst winning. And vice versa.

What's key is having a reasonably talented group of players, giving them a clear and effective game plan and motivating/coaching them to carry it out.

I think we have some talent- and some holes.

But every game I've seen has displayed to me that we have no cohesive or effective game plan whatsoever.

Collins was an U18 coach with a poor record in the brief time he had the role. He had no merit getting the role at this point in time. His appointment was laughable, made purely because of the vanity and incompetence of our deluded owner. And we're going to pay a price .

 

As long as they have purchased season tickets why would it matter, you don't have to have coaching badges or played the game to pro level to have an opinion about the product on the pitch, for 65 minutes the product on the pitch today was crap.

 

Getting rid now will not change the root cause of the problem.
