What assets are there to actually strip? The players are worth next to nothing in transfer fees and they don't own Valley Parade. When Lawn threatened to leave the ground for Odsal, the only thing they owned that they could sell were the lifts and seats. If Rahic and his wife are taking as much cash out of the club as rumoured, then that's pretty much asset stripping in all but name as it is. Especially when they're rewarding themselves royally for absolute failure.

The only way this club will begin to be anything other than an embarrassment. Is when new ownership takes control and has City heading in the right direction again. Asking for leniency now will only take the club into further decline and possible extinction with these owners at the helm. Rahic is incompetent and Rupp's an 'absent landlord' letting a house fall into disrepair through inaction.

Disappointing, I figured this would be a thread about starting to cut our cloth for League Two.

Time to ship out at least half of the squad, and hire four or five MAXIMUM.

So based on your experience, how well do you think ER's business strategy is doing please? Please enlighten us folks on what it may actually be?

Conversely if you were writing a 5 year plan / strategy for BCFC with the aim of Championship in that 5 years what would it entail? Just asking like.....but if you do a good job you may become Edin's assistant....

 

What 'current protest' do you mean?

A strategy hasn't yet unfolded as far as I know, but it will, in time. What we need is buy in, and the actual development of plans, not scaremongering and avoidance of problem resolution.

To that end, it should be pretty clear to any strategist that anything happening right now is mere bedrock. There won't be any grand unveiling of a masterpiece any time soon, we're still at the bricks and mortar stage. Little by little.

With that said, I'm curious to know how a sought-after planner can ALREADY say that the current direction is the wrong direction, with no possible concept or idea of the eventual scale of protest?

 

So you didn't really answer my question about his business plan then? All you've said it doesn't appear to be profitable?

The question I also asked was not about City playing football again but what 'as a successful business strategist' which you claim you get well paid for, what would you say to Edin to get us on track for Championship football and as successful business? 5 year plan....waiting on your plan...

Maybe you can ask your pal @brisbanebantams as he was also very knowledgeable in other areas (sports injury and science) and wrote in a very similar way to you.

I wonder if we have Ryan Sparks the new Media and PR Manager on here trying to move opinions and sway people....like the US elections with the Russians....he's certainly not made any media or PR statements publicly....didn't know he existed till looked on Who's Who on website. The first positive thing I've heard in ages is that they both regret buying the club.

Why? Because the both realised they are not up to the job? If that is the case, sell it to someone who is. I don’t do regret, you make your decisions in life and get on with it. If you have to work harder you do.

 

It's, allegedly, one hell of a wage for a CEO of a business with income of £3-4m.

 

Im not surprised to see you getting rash replies to a well thought out OP. But that is the emotion for you. Initially I was in your camp be careful what you wish for mentality, however irrespective of the countless errors of judgement he has made, what Edin has ultimately done is rip the heart out of a club that had a special bond a togetherness that has seen us overcome so many obstacles over the years, this like many others I cannot accept and simply doesn’t deserve to be the custodian of our football club.

On the 13th of September he publicly apologised for his mistakes, promising to right the wrongs, All he has done sines that day is cower away, no action no words no nothing, and that for me is indefensible.

I agree that Wanting change is a sensible vision but there is no evidence whatsoever to suggest that he’s prepared to do just that

 

I echo your thoughts loyal, but hypothetically, what if we get another statement from R&R reinforcing their stance that they are here for the long term and aren't going anywhere? Would that change the direction of the protest or would people want to continue with the 'Edin out' message, even though it would be futile and likely to stoke up more antagonism?
