O’Connor bad attitude, crap performances and laughig at fans. Making jokes in the dressing room allegedly after a 3-2 defeat which pretty much condemns us to go down.
Slagged off fans at his old club didn’t he? Worst captain ever. Get rid.
Get p O’Connor in on Saturday

i haven’t started these rumours, all i’ve done is pick up on what has been said on social media and on this forum. i wasn’t the first and i’m not the only person to have mentioned an incident in either the changing rooms or the bus, in fact these rumours were going around days before i mentioned them and were mentioned by other posters on here and people on social media before i did. i have no idea if they are true or not, the only thing i know is that from where i was in the bescott stadium last week i didn’t see anthony o’connor laughing - what i did see was a player slump to his knees as the final whistle blew, gutted that we’d lost another match.
what i am saying is that there are a maximum no of people who are within the inner sanctum of the changing rooms and team bus. if someone from one of those two settings has leaked what should be in-house information to fans who then put it on social media then they should be reprimanded by the club too, just like anthony o’connor seems to have been if the rumours of what has occurred are true.
all players and staff should know what goes on in the dressing room should stay in the dressing room end of story. if o’connor has acted unarcodingly then punish him, if a player or member of staff has leaked what happened then punish them too.
all this has done is stir up more bad blood, more animosity, more dislike and argument between fans who have no idea what has actually happened and it’s the last thing the players selected for today or martin drury and the coaching staff need.
can only imagine the atmosphere down on the south coast if any players were on social media last night or today. farcical. -

Footballers these days are pampered spoilt children and have the power to destroy managers
Perfectly Bourne out by Kepa in yesterday's cup final they have no regulator they play bad they still get paid they get nowhere near the first team they still get paid the only thing i ever agreed with Mr I Know Football was that a large percentage of their wages would be paid in win bonuses
It's not unique to us look at Man Utd they get a manager the players like and all of a sudden it's lift off time, surely the governing bodies could have some input
I think we have bigger problems at the club than the players any manager worth his salt would want to see committment from the heirachy and be sure who would be running the club next season and a plan to take the club forward
No one has a clue at the minute we are on a very slippery slope and maybe some of these players if they stick with us will get what they deserve a place on the bench in the National League NorthOnside and Faithful Bantam like this. -

Most of the players need to follow the Yellow Brick Road. Don't deserve any applause when they take to the field this Saturday.

But did they have the extra commitment that Walsall showed?
Again a mixture of giving up pathetic goals and missing chance after chance cost us. {and their first goal was a foul}
The whole squad is so disjointed. I'm not sure Hopkin added to it sensibly to give us anything different.Bronco and Wakefield Bantam like this. -

I was at Walsall and this in my opinion is an excellent assessment.
There was a huge amount of effort from the whole team - and especially from the loanees (who others (wrongly) appear to be blaming for lack of effort or character). Not so - they all worked their socks off - though Butterfield has an unfortunate "saunter" to his approach I am convinced he too was really putting in a shift. Although he didn't feature on Saturday the other loanee Miller is a real trier too.
Its the shape that is the problem. Witness Caddis having to push on to give us width. It leaves a huge hole for Walsall to have an easy out ball that ultimately leads to conceding two horrendously soft goals.
I was at Walsall and I felt the players gave it their all. They absolutely dominated the home team, it was frankly like a training exercise we were so on top (red card helped, granted). Butterfield ran the game, as you'd expect. Everything good came through him. But we didn't get the goals our dominance suggested we should have.
However, we were defensively appalling, especially from set-plays. Did they switch off? It looked that way. The third goal is horrendous. It should never have even got to being a corner for them. Chicksen could have cleared a long ball, but he tried bringing it down and failed to do so, they won the corner. And then chuff knows what ROD is doing in goal. It's a great delivery, but that's his ball to punch.
There's quality in this side, in midfield especially, and we've some decent enough second strikers. What we don't have are proper wingers who will take a man on, or get back to help their full-backs.
We don't have a proper target man who will hold the ball up to allow our quality midfielders to push on and feed off seconds.
But worst of all, I don't rate any of the defenders, except Mellor who's not been available.
Still enough decent options in the right system and playing the appropriate style to finish fifth bottom. Let's hope Drury gets a tune out of them on Saturday before the new man arrives.
9 times out of 10 we win that game on Saturday. Not having it that they don't try/care. They just failed. It wasn't a lack of effort, in my opinion.
Let's pull together as one and assess the bullshine in the summer, once we've stayed up.[/QUOTE]Wakefield Bantam and Botswana Bantam like this. -
If so ............Hopkin possibly had (like a few of us in our own jobs) one of those moments that screamed - "Why in the Hell am I doing this ? All this wasted time and effort ............................. Feck it - I'm gone ..... " ?
