The are various views on whether Hopkin has done the right thing in resigning. And we all know that the heart of our problems has been Edin Rahic.

But the players shouldn't be allowed to get off easily - which often happens when a manager loses his job.

This lot of players are a disgrace. Repeatedly this season, they've not turned up for a fight when a bit of fight has been needed. Consistently, we fail to do the basics - I've never seen a professional team defend its own penalty so poorly as we've done all season. Look at Walsall on Saturday - bodies put on the line to claw their way to 3 points. THAT'S a team that cares. Don't tell me this lot care about what's happening to the club. They couldn't give a sh*t, and that's laid bare every Saturday afternoon.

I don't expect any of them to read this, or care a jot about how our fans are feeling even if they did.

But, with literally one or two exceptions out of a group of 30 or so, they're an embarrassment to this football club and to their profession.

We need a complete rebuild from top to bottom.

Can't argue with any of that mate. They should (but won't) be totally ashamed of themselves.

Pretty damning comment on WOAP in terms of the players "I deplore this group of players and the pathetic performances they’ve delivered for most of the season. I can’t wait to see the back of some of them"

I sensed DH was at the end of his tether (and his reign at City) after Saturdays game when he said the players owe him and the supporters - and hinting he and his staff are working their socks off but not including the players in that comment.
Its a sad day that it has not worked out for David and I have no doubts he has put his heart and soul into this - wish him all the best for the future.

As for us (the fans) get ready for the next ride on the rollercoaster ride that is Bradford City!

Couldn't agree more. I can forgive a certain amount of ineptitude if there's some fight shown, this absolute shower are going down with a whimper and a shrug of the shoulders. I've seen some very poor City teams and performances over the years but rarely, if ever, witnessed a team that doesn't appear to care less.

We scored two goals away but no way should we be conceding three against a team in the run they are on with 10 men for 83+ minutes.

I’m not one for scapegoats but Chicksen, NKP, and O’Donnell looked to be particularly culpable on Saturday.

    Excellent Post
Footballers these days are pampered spoilt children and have the power to destroy managers
Perfectly Bourne out by Kepa in yesterday's cup final they have no regulator they play bad they still get paid they get nowhere near the first team they still get paid the only thing i ever agreed with Mr I Know Football was that a large percentage of their wages would be paid in win bonuses
It's not unique to us look at Man Utd they get a manager the players like and all of a sudden it's lift off time, surely the governing bodies could have some input
I think we have bigger problems at the club than the players any manager worth his salt would want to see committment from the heirachy and be sure who would be running the club next season and a plan to take the club forward
No one has a clue at the minute we are on a very slippery slope and maybe some of these players if they stick with us will get what they deserve a place on the bench in the National League North

Caddis had a shocker as well by all accounts.

It's not a Bradford City team but a phantom one and why would anybody expect a loanee to care or try like he belonged? And we've a shed load of 'em.

Quite can't argue with your logic
However a loanee is a loanee for a reason they are not yet good enough to play 1st team football for their parent club Surely they should be playing like they care in the hope of getting first team football somewhere

That’s not like him as he’s been one of the better players recently.

Caddis wasn't great - but he was better than the keeper and the rest of the back 4. He's one of a very few who can hold his head high this season, along with Ball, O'Brien and Payne - and those three aren't even ours.

Which loanee isn't trying? O'Brien? Ball? Payne?

I think, if you actually bothered to go to games, you'll find that on the whole the loanees are pretty much the only ones contributing on a match day.

I don't think the issue on Saturday was effort going forward. It the defending and the ease with which Walsall scored, all easily avoidable goals with effort etc. The way Walsall defended should have been what we should have done. They did give it a go and I think they care but had shot themselves in the foot with the goals they conceded, bit like Fleetwood, concede a stupid goal then up against it.

They are kind of all we've got for the next 12 games so we need to still support them

Sounds like it Keefly but to be fair to him he has been one of the few successful additions to the team

Most of the players need to follow the Yellow Brick Road. Don't deserve any applause when they take to the field this Saturday.

He was our only real out ball going forward and worked his socks off. As others have said the best of the back four. It was like two different teams glued together. Our midfield and attack was a completely different beast to the shambles in defence. I felt sorry for O'Brien, Ball and Doyle in particular.

I wonder why the players forget all the newspaper rhetoric and playing up to the fans just before the game starts, then put in an exact opposite performance to what they're intimating?

Winner to the OP, this is why I wasn’t blaming Hopkin as much as a lot on here. Rahic and those who put the shirt on every week are to blame. We’re going down ladies and gents with or without Hopkin, doesn’t matter who comes in, these players are spineless disgraces, just like the pr1ck who bought them last summer.

When this lot finally go down after the Wimbledon game God help any of them who do the traditional "walk of shame" after the game. Probably Lewis O'Brien might get away with it ? Or Payne/Butterfield/Ball but Christ the rest of them will get pelters for certain. Best they all just clear off and leave it at that ?

They should come out and show appreciation to the fans that, let's face it, have been very kind to the players so far considering the awful performances they have put in. But they won't because they are all bottlers. Or at least most of them.
