Warning, this is second hand info.

Just been shown a text message from a player that has recently left the club who was asked if it was true about O’Connor and he said he had spoken to some players in the team who have denied that it happened.

So again it looks like two different stories are coming out of the same bus.

Hopkin's first error was making him captain. Second error was not getting at least one other centre back in during January that we can actually use without having to drop another loan player further up the park. Third error probably dawned on him after Saturday's little incident and is linked to one and two. He didn't feel like he could continue to work with O'Connor but equally, he couldn't freeze him out like he had done with Wright and Riley. As Trevor says, it only takes one bad apple.

 

not the goal bonus thing, maybe the laughing thing but like i said, i never saw that last weekend.

point being, the bantamsbanter lads are now saying their 'source' was there when he said what it is he is rumoured to have said. considering that it appears to have been said in either the changing rooms or on the bus means that their source is one of a very few number of people; it's not difficult to have an idea of who considering there is only one current player that they seem to have a close relationship with who will have been present at the time. either that or the now ex-manager.

whatever has or has not been said should stay in the dressing room and not leaked to amateur journo's with an influence on social media - look at the reaction now the night and morning before a massive game! if the mole had such a problem with it they should have sorted it out there and then and kept it indoors and not be leaking details of what goes on inside the dressing room. imagine what the atmosphere will be like on the bus, in the hotel and in the changing room now - it will be carnage and make todays task even harder for drury and the coaching team.

they're all as bad as each other.

 

Hang on, I'm confused now. I thought the incident with Hopkin and O'Connor happened in the dressing room?

 

Is O Connor one of the players signed by Edin when we were managerless probably an experienced manager would have seen through this kind of attitude straight away and steered well clear.

 

Are you the coach driver @brisbanebantams, you seem to have first hand knowledge of what happend on last Saturdays journey home.
I asked you when you first started posting if you was employed by the club, you said no, yet the only person I know who would be on the coach would be the driver and Malcom Scott ?, Im not having a go just interested how you are sure of your comment.

i haven’t started these rumours, all i’ve done is pick up on what has been said on social media and on this forum. i wasn’t the first and i’m not the only person to have mentioned an incident in either the changing rooms or the bus, in fact these rumours were going around days before i mentioned them and were mentioned by other posters on here and people on social media before i did. i have no idea if they are true or not, the only thing i know is that from where i was in the bescott stadium last week i didn’t see anthony o’connor laughing - what i did see was a player slump to his knees as the final whistle blew, gutted that we’d lost another match.

what i am saying is that there are a maximum no of people who are within the inner sanctum of the changing rooms and team bus. if someone from one of those two settings has leaked what should be in-house information to fans who then put it on social media then they should be reprimanded by the club too, just like anthony o’connor seems to have been if the rumours of what has occurred are true.

all players and staff should know what goes on in the dressing room should stay in the dressing room end of story. if o’connor has acted unarcodingly then punish him, if a player or member of staff has leaked what happened then punish them too.

all this has done is stir up more bad blood, more animosity, more dislike and argument between fans who have no idea what has actually happened and it’s the last thing the players selected for today or martin drury and the coaching staff need.

can only imagine the atmosphere down on the south coast if any players were on social media last night or today. farcical.

 

You made several comments with regards injuries to players in the earlier part of this season, you were talking "soft tissue" and other different injuries, injuries that only someone with knowledge of these sort of injuries could quote, so I asked at the time if you worked for the club.

With regards the other comment you posted, let's hope the players stand up to be counted today to dash all these comments ?.

 

i have a degree in sports injury rehabilitation. that doesn't mean i work at the club - have i spent some time at football league clubs? yes, but never at bradford city.

 

Paul Caddis takes the captain's arm band this afternoon from Anthony O'Connor.

Have seen some comments on social media about what O'Connor allegedly said in the dressing room at Walsall. But understand that is nonsense ..
