The quote of £10m has to got to be a load of bollocks, surely?

 

Clubs worth nowt in the basement division. If Rupp is wanting to sell the club with no assets at £10M then he's going to have to pray and sink some more money to get us to atleast top end league 1.Otherwise he will just get laughed out of the door.

It has to be or he will become a perpetual owner of Bradford.

We need a strong CEO to put himself about and push the club forward
Like him or not Mark Lawn was more than capable of doing so
JR will steady the ship and keep it on an even keel (Hopefully)
But cant see us progressing much under his stewardship
SR needs to take a very close look at GB & JR and ask himself if they
can get us to a 10 million saleable club

 

Agreed and we need an owner or investors that really care about the club.

People that want to really take Bradford to the PL, wanting to have their own training ground and even stadium.

Operating how we do is dangerous for the club. We've no assets!!!

 

its not rocket science to over price something you want to sell is it, its done everyday.

you want £200k for your house then you advertise at £210k
you want £3500 for your car then put it up for £3995
you want £7m for your club then stick it out at £10m

Someone daft enough will still think they have got a bargain

Quote taken from this mornings YPost, not really sure I have seen a 'plot to take us back to League One and beyond' in what has happened so far! Looks to me like we are an average League 2 club in respect of the players through to the management team, and the only thing 'above' this is the size of our crowds and our long standing potential to be something better in terms of the size of the City and the stadium.

 

Find it strange that people think we are going nowhere under Rupp. With no decent cup run since 2015 do people honestly think we would have had the budget we have now under the old Rhodes Lawn combo. I realise that since the budget was agreed that McBurnie was sold but Rupp had no guarantee of the deal going through as Sheff Utd seemed the only club willing to pay the fee and we made a huge loss last season under Rahics regime. If we were still run by Lawn Rhodes now the budget for this season would have been similar to the ones given to Jacko, Taylor and McCall in his first season.
Rhodes admitted in Jason McKeowns latest book that with no decent cup run they wouldn't have been able to afford Charlie Wyke despite selling Hanson.

I laugh out loud when I see this argument. You talk as if the McBurnie money was the clubs and Rupp has taken it for his own gains. Absolute nonsense! You do recall last seasons overspend don't you?

Rahic created that mess. Although he is not without blame Rupp at least did the honorable thing and covered the loss with his own money. At this point Bradford City football club owed him. He basically accepted the risk of putting his own money in to cover this hole knowing it could be a long time before it's recovered - if ever!

The McBurnie windfall was never a guarantee but fortunately for the club and Rupp it came to fruition very soon after he covered the loss. The club has rightly used this money to pay Rupp back. That is not to say there is no left over profit for the club to benefit from however but any profit on top of the amount repaid is for the club. There has been no evidence to suggest otherwise.

Not sure how it can be argued he's not backing the club when it is clear we have one of the top budgets in the division. Just look at the squad!

 

I'd just like to add, the squad remains pointlessly expensive and poor value for money.

That remains Rahic's fault, and the blame cannot be laid at the feet of Bowyer and the team.

Imagine what we'd look like if Reeves, Riley, Akpan, Anthony O'Connor, and Shay were off the books and all we needed were two good centre mids and a defender to replace AOC.

Heck, you could even keep AOC and swap the other four for just two good centre mids!

 

The T&A article states rupp is funding bowyers player budget,
so what did the 14,000 season ticket/flexcard fund?

 

Not enough for the budget

 

Or he doesn’t want to sell so sticks a value on it that he knows will see everyone walk away, but if someone offers him £10m he makes a nice profit
