Yes it makes it more clinical but also means that every point gained is deserved and fair.
If you go up or down it’s exactly where you should be.
Imagine if we now get relegated on goal difference and this lost point is crucial?

I’m guessing McLaughlin would always try and pull the ball further away from the goal if the ball was on the line so I don’t know what that would prove.

Like a lot of people it seems that your initial reaction that is was clearly and significantly over the line was incorrect and a result of McLaughlin’s momentum and the movement of his arms, rather than the actual placement of the ball which is shown in the slower version and shows it barely crosses the line.

They were at the races and were paying attention. It’s ludicrous to say that because they can’t spot a ball which is about 2 centimeters over the line for a fraction of a second then they weren’t paying attention and had bottled it. Sometimes you just have to acknowledge that the initial perception was incorrect and some things are too close to 100% call.

 

Never for the life of me get why grown men argue over who was the “loudest” away fans at games

We move on to Rochdale and we take the frustration out on them.

I’d like to see us do more of this sort of thing. A marquee/building with local produce - ales/street food and a few games etc for the kids. Vids of old games playing. It’d be hugely popular and probably a bit of a money spinner. A great way to build links with loca businesses too.

 

Do you know what, i don’t think we will. I think this new assistant will make a big difference. First time this season i actually think we could pull out of this mess. Gonna take a huge turn around, this month is pivotal but if we can pull it back to a win away from safety in January then its game on.

I hate Sunderland by the way as was arrested for doing the knobhead sign to a group of your fans at Roker Park (1988) in the main stand nearest the away fans who were wholeheartedly mocking/singing about the fire of 1985.

The PC that nicked me was a PC McCall to add salt to the wound :-(

Whilst being frogmarched to the police area I was repeatedly spat on going past the Sunderland fans on the open terrace behind the goal.

Friendly fans my arse.

And Newcastle is by far the best night out for many a mile in the NE.
