I'd suggest that is just an over reaction from fans who thought we got nothing from the game on the day, and the officials made 3 poor calls in their opinion.

 

Oh I agree, suppose it was just to highlight what we all thought was very obvious at the time - with the ‘goal’ at least - wasn’t actually as clear cut as that.

 

I'm simply saying that the people who say it's massively over the line and/or knew with absolute certainty from the seat or on first viewing are claiming the impossible and are unfairly having a go at the officials based on such small margins.

 

What makes the situation worse IMO is that the referee admited they got it wrong, why would he do that, its bad enough having our beliefs he got it wrong without him confirming it.

 

It a natural reaction on the spur of the moment, I think most Sunderlad fans would say they got the big decisions on the day.
But its gone now Rochdale on Saturday which won't be easy.

The ref himself said he got it wrong-he and his team deserves every piece of shit flying their way.

Obviously apologists like yourself will happily accept the error as one of those things.

That decision directly affected the game and he and his team should be demoted as they clearly are unable to handle such games.

 

I wonder if these incidents had happened at Rochdale on Saturday rather than Sunderland, would the outcome have been different? I’m guessing we get two of the decisions in our favour. Amazing how a big club and a huge home crowd makes officials go with different decisions.
