Apparently not convincing the fans. If he isn’t doing it in league 1 for Plymouth, surely we will (hopefully) need players who can, should we go up. I suspect and hope we’ll be going for back to back promotions like Luton and not consolidation.

All if onlys if we don’t make it.

They bagged him on a free, too, so if he's not looking good enough, there's nothing really stopping them from moving him on.

Might hinge on them going up. We might be able to get him back on loan.

But there'll be loads of players available in the Summer, so Ty is now just one of many IMO.

 

Early days for him yet, but sticking with us on a 2 or 3 year deal might have been the better option for his development.

 

Wright hasn't been rated anywhere he has been except with us. He's had a 4 month purple patch, I'd not be rushing to resign him if I'm honest. He should've stuck with us given its the first time he's found reasonable form anywhere.

 

I dont fault him for chasing a better option but we need to move on. His heart wasnt in it so why should we even contemplate giving him another opportunity.

He was good, not great. Probably need better if we are in L1.

 

I think if he did come back we'd have another Dion on our hands.

 

He hasn't played much, they don't really play with wingers and their forward options have been scoring and doing well.

Pretty hard for him to get in to the team really.

 

Someone posted he'd been injured for a while as I mistakenly took him for Callum Wright who had played most games since signing him in January, I would think both Gent and Hughes will be monitoring the situation.

 

Was gonna sign for us but chose the bright lights of Plymouth after his agent had managed to get a last minute deal apparently. Good luck to him but I'm with you, his heart clearly wasn't here so adios amigo.

 

What makes you think that, he's a young kid who saw the transfer to Plymouth as a step up and I would have thought more money too, unfortunately the money is a big incentive for footballers with a limited careers.

 

Because he looked a good player for us and it just hasn’t worked out at Plymouth, so if he became available why not

 

Because he didnt want to play for us anymore and help the promotion cause.

The obsession with ex players is embarrassing at times. Its almost like some fans have a player pool of around 20 players.

 

If his heart was in it he would have remained. Its as simple as that.

 

I wouldn't be looking at many L2 players if we go up. The likes of Wright and Kemp brilliant in this league and poor in L1. The difference in quality between the 2 leagues is as big as its ever been. Just look at how 3 of the 4 clubs that went up last year are performing.

 

As I posted there would have been some financial incentive to the deal for Tyreik, would anyone in their right mind turn a salary increase down, apart from the fact that he could potentially be playing Championship football next season.

 

So he chased the money and the glory then? No issue with that, I understand it - but his heart wasn't in moving up the league ladder with Bradford. Saw an opportunity and walked away.

Lets sign players who are committed to the cause eh? Seems a sensible solution.

 

I was very surprised when he left suddenly. MH had been pulling out all the stops to sign him, but he got a better offer we couldn’t live with. Yes I know it money is important, but it would be great if players could look at the long term view as well. He was doing well here under MH and staff, was well liked and had settled in, plus he was gaining valuable experience to make him a better player. Now he has gone backwards, and is no doubt feeling anxious. Should we try to sign him again, my view is maybe not. If we do indeed get promoted we need players at the ready to go in Lg1.

 

That's fine but if he's overly financially motivated, especially being so young then it's still a warning sign and perhaps one to stay away from.

I'm neither for or against signing by the way, just playing devil's advocate so to speak.

 

Not often I agree with you and I enjoy not doing so but you are 100% right on this one.

He didn’t want to stay and help us, so why should we now help him because it’s turns out he made the wrong move?
