Mumblings on social we have signed Aygei from Crewe. Out of contract.

Mumblings been 1 person on Facebook claiming so btw. Suppose after the Osadebe, Smallwood and Odusina rumours ya got to keep an open mind.

 

Would be a good addition, gives us a pacey option upfront. Priority for us next season has to be a midfielder who is comfortable turning with the ball and with pace over 5 yards to get away fork the player turned. Nicky Law was good at it, could carry the ball 30 or 40 metres but was always in control of the ball.

 

I actually think Chapman does that and certainly Jamie Walker in a more advanced position. I think we need a good passer of the ball with a good assist record. We had one but he now plays his trade for another play off club

 

How many of those assists are from dead balls though?

Against us, twice, he's been completely ineffective and bottled the tackle allowing Cook to score at their place.

I'm not saying he would or wouldn't improve us but I'm not buying the "assist" stat as any sort of meaningful measurement of his ability.

 

He got 5 assists in 2 years for us. Doing much better at Salford but he chased the money so what can ya do.

Very much doubt this. Can see him signing for Gillingham and a return to the south for him

 

According to a couple of Crewe fans on a forum I visit, Agyei has apparently signed for a club down south. Could be Gillingham as you say, Idle. They've certainly got the money to tempt him.

 

I think even if we go up, we probably won't be taking our L2 rivals best players.

Think we'll still be shopping at the lower half teams and other L1 clubs who release players.

 

Yeah. I remember him totally tinning out of that tackle thinking, bloody hell, he didn’t fancy that, and seconds later we then scored.

 

FCD has to be released for the sake of his own career.

 

It's standard PR probably from Sparks, but his radio Leeds interview before the game on Sunday, he did say we haven't started talks with any players over new contracts they all know it will be after the end of the season.

Also said we have set list of targets in mind for L1 and targets if we are still in L2, both lists and budgets are set but are vastly different depending on the division.

 

That is great news, we have a plan for both scenarios.

 

Id take Agyei regardless of what division TBH. Looks like a Facebook rumour and Gillingham it is though.

 

Lewis Wing ex Boro released by Wycombe. Decent L1 record - might be worth looking at if you get promoted. Think there will be a few in for him though so unlikely.

 

Wing apparently wants to move back up north, worked with Gent before and probably a few ex boro lads in the squad. Reckon that one would fully depend on promotion for us. Plenty of northern clubs in L1 for him to land on to be fair.

I mentioned one a week or so back just due to that Gent connection he tapped up this season, Ryan Delaney. He was released by Morecambe not long back, left sided CB who again worked before with a lot of our setup. Might be another random facebook post just linking past spots, but I saw he was linked to us on a facebook group over the weekend. As said above, probably nonsense but you never know.

 

And he scores goals,what we need from our new signings.

 

This is the player we should be signing,would be great next season in div 2 or one.

 

Moxon looked a very good player for Carlisle think he would complement our midfield very well, would obviously need promotion though.
