I know absolutely zero about him but he looks like he has something to be fair Kevin. Lots of big clubs rumoured to be sniffing around and at only 22 he's got time on his side.

Hudlin looked a bit bambi on ice everytime i saw him on BT last season. He was in talks with Huddersfield at the end of last month, with the old boss saying he'd like to use him in the B/U23 setup for a season but with their bloke leaving, might be off the table?

Sheff Weds have also confirmed to have been in contact to use him as a squad member in the first team. They've got Paterson, Gregory and just signed Michael Smith from Rotherham, all physical lads so a 6ft9 striker will fit in fine as 4th choice. He's got options to be fair to the lad. Solihull offered him a deal but not signed it yet, Wrexham thought to be after him too.

 

I was underwhelmed. The other striker looked to have more about him.

 

He’d certainly fit in with Parkies one dimensional long throw / free kick game, which wasn’t as effective as he’d hoped. Add another 16ft striker and it might pay off one season.

From what little I have seen, he reminds me of an old Bradford “favourite”, Stockport’s Kevin Francis.

 

Apparently Oliver turned down offers from non league to join us. Wouldn’t be suprised at all if it was Wrexham.

 

Apparently he was very close to joining Wrexham in January.
Wrexham wouldn't buy him a house so he didn't join, according to those ITK.
Wrexham got Palmer instead.

After 2 years not seeing his kids, location will have been key.

Fairly certain he said when he left it was just for family reasons, he'd have happily stayed at Gillingham but he needed to be back around his kids. Cambridge and Exeter rumored to have wanted him but had no interest, he trained with Tranmere for the first week back in training apparently? Not sure if it was a trial or just a fitness thing.

Now he's back living with family, it might be another morale boost for him to kick his goal scoring even higher, fingers crossed.
