Just signed a extremely talented young lad for Liverpool on loan. James Balagizi.

One “ talented” young lad doesn’t make a viable team.

 

He might be talented, but he is only 18 with no games at league level. League 2 is tough and he might not be ready for this level yet.
Not exactly a marquee signing or going for it, he is on loan ,Liverpool will be picking up most of his wages , which wont be that much.

 

Young lads. Hit and miss at this level. Those that do well are the exception. You should know this of course, with your vast footballing knowledge.

He was released by Swindon, so Crawley have not taken him. He was a free agent

 

Wonder why they released him if their captain. 37 games last term. A strange one. Anyway Swindon got a huge rebuild to do. Saw they lost 2 to Charlton as well.

Below is a Swindon fan opinion on him, they got a new director of football a few months ago followed by their manager leaving so I’m guessing not offering the club captain is the new guys way of making a mark and putting his stamp on things. If I’m honest if we end 6th this season and lost on penalties to the playoff winners I wouldn’t want my 26 year old captain leaving along with my manager and other players, something stinks there atm it wouldn’t surprise me if Garner left after an interview with this director of football ala Parkinson with Rahic. The window is still early I guess but they were only 1 or 2 decent players next season from automatics if they’d kept what they have and built on it as we should have done when we lost at Wembley!

 

Some of these kids can be on £10k plus a week. ....
