He's gonna have the be handled carefully, I think Harratt is the more likely replacement than Cook.

    Is he?

When he signed, some folk were saying he's been playing centre back at Hartlepool?

I just want some who says "I'm a right back, I like to defend, I can get a cross in if needed bit I love a clean sheet" a bit like Crichlow tbh. And none of this "ill play where the gaffer wants me" or "I'm happy to fill in where I'm needed" boll0cks. Just a plain old, boring right back. We've not had one for seasons and it's a specialist position.

The new option of 5 subs per game (meaning you could risk 4 by 60 minutes, leaving 1 in reserve in case the keeper gets injured) should mean that there will be a lot more options for rotation in the matchday squad than before - can see Angol up front for 55 minutes with Harrat and/or Cook for the last 35.

I think you're right he had played CB for Hartlepool but has generally been used as a RB. I'm in complete agreement, round pegs and all that...

I personally think we should be playing Cook and Angol together and I don’t think we should ever play Angol alone upfront again….. ever. He isn’t a central striker and plays better coming in from a wing position. Cook alone? Yes, but he showed he cannot do it for a full season.
I’m sure MH will sort something out

He was very good last few games as lone striker, Angol is good there in a possession based team it was only under Adams when it was at his head not feet he struggled.

I 100% disagree. Some of Angols best performances have come when he’s played up front and the teams beat performances of last season came in the last few games when Hughes had him up front with three AMs behind him.
The only problem with playing him up front is his durability.

Young is a versatile attacker. Can play up front or as an AM.

Isn’t that why we have 3 front line forwards to use

I agree with most of that but Wood isn’t a striker. He’s another AM who can play either centrally or from the right.

Yes. I think they’ll all get games. Whether Cook and Harratt have the required quality remains to be seen.

    Bit of both.

Just some tweet from the city vent account, then another account hinting at Odusina.

He can be. But by his own admission he prefers to play in from the left or deeper. And with our lack of wide men I have him down as an option there at the moment.

He’s a decent solid right back. I can’t understand why people don’t want him as first choice.
