    There were two areas of team strength that worried me. One was wether we had the physicality to deal with league two when we had to mix it but the signing of Smallwood has eased that. The other area for me is keeper which I believe is one area where experience is required wether or not Doyle is still young enough to play a part is still to be seen

    I think it is a myth about having to have an experienced keeper as first choice.

    Pickford instantly springs to mind who after a hesitant start with us, was very good.

    Hughes will care less about experience and more about style of play. We saw that at the end of the season with his choices.

    If we're up there teams will come and stick 10 men behind the ball. When that happens the fullbacks need to join in,
    Ridehalgh has shown he can do it. Hendrie has looked short when asked to go forward.
    We need a first choice right back who can offer a bit more in possession.
