Real risk of them changing his number though!

If you could keep only one of Vernam, Watt or Paudie, who would it be?

    Id say Watt for me.

I personally prefer Paudie, Watt's agent is a bit of a piss taker, and I distinctly remember not enjoying Vernam in the first half of last season.

However, in all honesty, none of them are irreplaceable.

Vernam, by a country mile for me.

Looks a very good footballer at times and probably has the higher ceiling in terms of selling him on if he had a consistently good season.

I’d agree that it’s probably Vernam for me, in the right set up he’s shown his worth although I think Watt has as well tbf. If the rumours of Smallwood were true though nobody would bat an eye lid if he went. Paudie is inconsistent, I feel a half decent lower league journeyman could do the same job without too much fuss. I was one of Songo’os biggest critics but when Hughes came in I felt he was the better defender.

I recon with the length of time it's gone on at least 2 of the 3 are resigning, If they've agreed deals elsewhere there would be no benefit to them in delaying their announcement, so to me that tells me there's no high end L1 clubs involved or else obviously that'd be a no brainer for them and they have a decision on their hands of a sh1te ass end L1 club or stay and be possibly part of something good at a club with potential, with both offering similar money. I also read a lot on here about the club possibly holding back so called major announcements until near end of early bird period to boost sales, I mean seriously?? It maybe true knowing our lot, but wtf would that benefit?? I'd say best to announce soon as possible to give any undecided floaters more time to get on board or even more time to find the funds before they've thought fk it and blasted it on the all inclusive trip to Turkey or whatever they've just got back from possibly skint by time early bird ending.

Both Watt and Vernam are still on holiday. Could be that we have an agreement in place with both of them and waiting for them to come back do sign and do the press release?

Could also be similar if they have signed for other clubs though.

Really tough question. I like all three though collectively they were inconsistent, Vernon more so but based on performances under MH, I'd take the exciting Vernon .

100% agree. Vernam, though inconsistent, is the rare breed of footballer that can get fans off seats , I can’t ever say that about an attempted Hollywood pass from Watty not Paudies attempt at a cross field pass to Songo’o with my heart in my mouth! Vernam everyday of the week for me.

I'd agree with you there. The biggest miss when not in the team is Watt. He dictates so much of what we do and makes us tick. To replace him will be the most expensive. Saying that we've brought in a striker who'll need service so we need a winger who can provide that. Whilst Vernam is tricky and direct, he's a different kind of winger to a Kyle Reid or Mark Marshall who put very good balls into the box and scored the odd screamer. Vernam is more likely to shoot than cross in my opinion.

As for Paudie, I think we'll see Platt slot in there quite easily.

The last sentence…You are probably right. I’m not sure what MH is going to do with Songo’o though. That’s his conundrum? Probably a proper Centre Back inbound?

8 goals in 28 games last year for Charles. A full season sees him get around 15 goals. Good numbers for a wide man.

    I dont mind him shooting.
