Seems early in pre season to announce a loan?

he wants a move up north apparently but I guess it comes down to £££. One season wonder regardless looking at his stats.

 

That's what I thought. However, if Huddersfield have already made their mind up about loaning him out next season, we may as well get him on board in time for start of pre season training

 

Bit underwhelmed with this if true but obviously loved to be proved wrong, but having said that if it's this lad over Miller then I'm suddenly happy. Similar to the Jake Young signing as I think these young lads having the chance to play close to home and friends/family is a huge pull for them.

 

Agree dave, I wouldn't expect loans until mid July and then given his contacts, I'd expect pl loans.

 

I think we'd all like the idea of PL loans but we seem to be targeting young players with L2 experience already under their belt.

 

PL mostly want their loanees in the CC or L1 as a minimum surely?

 

At the moment yes, I'm convinced Sparky will bring the experience in later in the window though

There were a couple of PL loanees playing in the National League playoffs last week.

 

We can always find examples to the contrary of course. The key word in my reply was “mostly”.

 

Agree, I was not aware the lad who was scoring for fun at Liverpool was the same lad who looked anything but a 20+ per season striker at Chelsea against us.

 

Absolutely, just pointing out that it's not out of the question for them to go even lower.
On that point, I did think at the time if there are lads from PL sides willing to drop that far down the pyramid to get game time and experience, our young lads like Staunton and Scales need to swallow their pride and get out on loan next season, even if it means going somewhere they think is beneath them.

 

I posted exactly that with regards Kian Harratt & Ryan Edmondson if the Harratt is true maybe Huddersfield have more faith in how Hughes would handle the lad than whats on offer at Port Vale.

 

I think it’s more the fact he won’t get any playing time at Vale now they’ve been promoted. He didn’t get much while in L2. He only came in after Jamie Proctor got injured. I can’t imagine he will be first choice here.

 

Something for the club to look at for sure.
