Likewise rated Pringle when at Rotherham, but seems to have lost his way since then

Wouldn't mind Olly Lancashire as a replacement for AOC.

Sean Goss could be good competition in the midfield area.

And we'd be really stupid not to continue our epic commercial expansion into China, so signing Bernard Sun makes a ton of sense.

i was with Mcaleny on Sunday, had a roast & then back at my house having a few drinks he said Ipswich were after him, but if the offer was rtight he would stay up north and city could be an option, he just got engaged to his partner today & they are expecting their 2nd baby so a big move away down to cornwall isnt ideal

He also told me some very interesting stories re how good Tony Mcmahon was as a defender, & how he didnt like playing against him, cos he got in his head, hahah also how much he would love to go up against a player we recently let go ( who i wont mention) he said he would all day every day as there didnt seem Much fight in them and it was easy

Anyway Wellens is going to Or has already gone to Doncaster right? So he will prob get offers from doncaster, ipswich, Salford i reckon but Conor said all options are open depends what offers come in & he loved playing valley parade every time he has been

He shouldn't be playing league 2 football m8, if Doncaster come in he should go there and play under a manager who likes to play football on the deck.

Ian Lawlor released by Donny. Good keeper at this level, looked good when we played Oldham. Paul Coutts, Mark Duffy, Josh Morris, Dominic Samuel, Cole Skuse, Alan Judge, Mo Eisa, Ryan Broom, Jordy Hiwula, Curtis Main.

Some decent players out there for this level.

It might as well be. Probably takes less time to get to Cornwall from the NW, than to Suffolk.

Aside from getting your Geography all wrong, good insight into what options he may have and not necessarily ruling us out if we tried again.

However, I reckon he will find a league 1 side that suits him and pays more money than we could offer.

I'd like Dylan Fage from Oldham at right back, looked great againsyt us in the most recent game (though I can't speak for if he's normally like that or we just made him look like a world beater!)

Werent we linked with Bell and Pringle before they signed for Rotherham? Both great players in their time, but always out of our league, especially when Rotherham’s “sponsor” started chucking his money about.

Aren't pre contracts a thing these days? That players can speak to anyone with 6 months left? Or is that just outside of England?

It doesn't apply to domestic transfers; only international transfers under UEFA's jurisdiction.

Madness how people don’t realise how football works! You think these players who are out of contract in the summer just sit and wait until there contracts are up then talk to clubs?

IF its true (big if) then its a pre contract agreement innit. No doubt we can pull out of the deal if the worst happens.

No. The EFL regulations are however quite clear. Players are not entitled to talk to other clubs prior to the retained and released lists having been issued by the clubs to the EFL. The cut off for that is next week ... unless the club is in the play-offs when the cut off is delayed by a couple of weeks. Talks between released players and potential clubs can then start. I'm not aware that Morecambe has issued its released list yet.

Even then a club cannot sign a player at the moment since that signing would require FA and EFL registration. And the FA and EFL Do not normally register players outside of the transfer windows.

Since you appear to know how football works, how then have we signed a player who is still playing for another club?
