How many can we register??? Arent we at the 20 man limit with only youth spaces available?

I did a quick count up and know at least 12 people either privately or through work who have been done for DD (including mrs Meltham)
Maybe I move in the wrong circles! However I can classify all of them into two categories, the first & thankfully the Mrs sits in this one covers people, normally youngish who at the time will probably as you have, hold up their hands and admit to being a 2hat at the time. Absolutely mortified at their actions and won’t re-offend. The Mrs was done nearly 30 years ago and to this day she still wont have as much as a shandy if she’s driving (still throws it back if I’ve got the car keys!!).
In the other category are the selfish bar stewards who think they are above the law, who blame it on bad luck “everyone does it right”, who see it as just one of those things “I can drive p***ed better than most can drive sober” etc etc
I’m all for rehabilitation and people getting a second chance but in my experience someone under thirty, caught twice, and a professional sports person......wow, wouldn’t touch with a barge poll!
To put it into perspective, I’m not a hang em-high merchant I believe everyone deserves a second chance, hell if Adam Johnson rocked up next week I’d welcome him with open arms!
However if he was spotted hanging round a sixth form disco half way through the season I’d expect the club to sack him!!
Same with the Ipswich guy...
He’s proved by his actions, caught for the second time, no respect for the law = no respect for his manager & no respect for the club or its fans. To me, complete waste of oxygen!

20 Professionals, not counting GK's and those under 20.
As Far as I can see we have 18 outfield players in our squad. With the like of Finn-Dawson, Staunton, Scales, Sikora all under 20.
So a potentially 2 outfield players over 20 could still fit in

Exactly my point. I did it once or twice as a youngster, never got caught and realised after a friend was caught (but luckily had a massive delay at the police station by which time he was under the limit) that there by the grace of god went I and never did it again. Norwood did and on that I base my theory that he will do it again because hes an arrogant *@?$ who thinks he can afford a driver and the insurance hike.

 

Windass was banned for a 2nd time having been caught over the limit at lunchtime the following day .

it’s hard these days keeping up with who’s a sex criminal and who’s not. I just watched “legends of the Premier League” and it was Ryan Giggs. I suppose that’ll be deleted sooner or later.

43.9 Squad Lists

43.9.1 Clubs shall be permitted to name up to a maximum number of Players in their Squad
List based on the following provisions:

(a) in respect of Championship Clubs, 25 Players of which a minimum of 8 must be a Home Grown Player;

(b) in respect of League One and Two Clubs:
(i) in Season 2020/21, 22 Players of which a minimum of 8 must be a Home Grown Player; and
(ii) in Season 2021/22 and each subsequent Season, 20 Players of which a minimum of 8 must be a Home Grown Player.

The limit set out in Regulation 43.9.1(b)(ii) increases to 22 for any Club relegated into League One, for its first Season following relegation.

43.9.2 The following Players do not need to be included in the Squad List to be eligible to play in League Matches:

(a) in respect of Championship Clubs, any Under 21 Player (save for any Under 21 Player who is registered with the Club on a Temporary Loan Transfer); and

(b) in respect of League One Clubs and League Two Clubs, any Under 21 Players.

 

My apologies if the GK is incorrect. I was speaking with a work associate whom is a Bolton fan (Usually v. knowledgeable in fact). He mentioned Lge 1, 22 player's less the young un's and he threw in the GK bit. Wrongly assumed we would be the same (except 20 in Lge 2)

I think a couple have been lined up to leave but only if we can get a couple in.

If we don't sign anybody I can see the squad starting exactly how it is with Adams preferring to have the numbers of bit quite the depth.
