They're all going to have to up their game if they want consistent runs in the side.

 

I can't either, plus he can play 10 or on the right (I'm more dubious about the claim he can play up top on his own!). Think Crankshaw has looked good in pre-season too.

 

Agree he’s not a front man. Of the two he’s shown better form than Cranky. He’s a confidence player , I think we will see him come on after 65-75 mins against tiring legs, likely replacing Angol?

 

Down the left my preferences in order on observations so far.

They all have different attributes, just seem to think the latter was knocked off the ball so easily in the Chesterfield game. He disappointed for me that night.

Opinions eh? . One is left sided, ones is right sided so that debate is pretty irrelevant really.

Funny how players are seen differently. Vernham’s distance shooting ability shades it for me. Crossbar hit three times in the games he’s played? Not sure about Cranky just yet.

 

He hasn't been given the 10 shirt though has he? Which makes me think we still have more to come.

 

Against Doncaster Eisa was excellent all our attacking midfielders are interchangeable and with a preference for playing one up top I think Lavery will only be used as a plan b.

Can’t disagree, however are Vernham , Eisa , Cranky attacking midfielder players in that sense . I wouldn’t put them on the same midfielder bus as Cooke, Sutton , Watty et al.

I realise it’s difficult to partition and categorise players under Mr Adams formations.

I just dont want us loaded up top with shite. Prefer quality over quantity. If we can get through to Jan and invest in a decent striker if needed i would prefer that strategy.

Vernam drifts out of games but looks far more of a threat in the final third than Crankshaw, I’ve said it before but I don’t see anything other than a poor mans Gilliead there. Hopefully he can improve and will need to as when he has the ball in dangerous areas he doesn’t exactly get me on the edge of my seat.

 

Hes third on my “left sided “ attacking player list only because of his poor performance in the 45 against Chesterfield. Very easily shrugged off the ball from memory .

Let’s see how it pans out. Adams has so many options it’s not true…however very nice to be in that position. I’ve never seen it as well thought out I must admit.
