Are we back in for the Icelandic striker at Millwall?

 

The way it has been written suggests the person has already been signed rather than us being in negotiations

They haven't said if he'll wear the vacant number ten shirt though.... Which they usually do at the end of those signing press releases this close to the start of the season.

 

A decent enough addition to the squad. Not prolific but has played at a good level.

 

Just said the same. A squad addition and an experienced body. Im happy enough with Cook and Angol this pre season so if they can take that form into new season then Lavery a competent back up when required.

 

Do you think that will be it or will we see another signing? I get the feeling there's another one yet this week.

Only if we see departures. We have 7 forwards now. Surely enough for 3 in the starting 11 with 3 on the bench. 2 missing out seems alot for this level.

 

Yeah i think that will be it now, unless we move anyone on. Lavery been given the 10 shirt too, so suggests we are done for forwards. Maybe a youth loan until Jan to cover any spots we might have late in the window, but that's about it i think until January.

 

Think we possibly see another defender with a kid or two going out on loan.

 

I'm personally of the school you can never have too many forwards anyway but if you include the number 10 role it's 8 players (9 if you include Scales, though I feel he might get loaned out) for 4 spaces. Seems about right but I feel wouldn't be harmed by another option or two. That said, unless one of Vernham or Crankshaw is heading out I can't see it personally

 

Sikora to name but one to give him games?

 

Can’t see Vernham going anywhere whatsoever. He’s cover for Angol down the left?

 

I'd like a right back and perhaps offer FCD a loan spell somewhere.

Threlkeld was good defensively yesterday but doesn't offer anything at all going forward and his passing was poor at times. Although it was very similar on the other side so perhaps DA prefers solidity to some of the marauding full backs we've seen in recent times.
