Think he could still do a job at this level with someone if he stays fit, suppose he’ll want to be close to home. Hartlepool could do worse.

I'll wait to see who else we bring in but as far as back up lone front men go Novak could have been a decent member of the squad. Hopefully we get better but it'll be difficult.

 

I liked Novak but far too injury prone. Cant be paying players who spend half their time on the treatment table.

 

Yeah I can't argue with that but the worry is that we end up with a young loanee that doesn't add anything to the squad so if Cook is unavailable we're toothless again.

We are after that lad from Maidenhead. From what I gather he is 6'3 target man. Hopefully pull that one off but Burton in for him. Like Threlkeld,Parker wrote an article about him so he may have already signed.

We are still in the market for another forward so I think your concern will be addressed by Adams before the new season starts.

Sparks tweeted yesterday plenty more to come over the next seven days. Id suggest plenty is at least 3 new players. He is tactfully announcing these to keep the news flow coming and give a boost to ticket sales.

 

Where does Watt fit into this new look squad no mention of him, lots of talk on songo and battling midfield generals but if case where does he fit?? A lot went through him last season I admit was surprised people wanted him as I wasn’t a huge fan. Also you have Sutton who naturally is a full back but was playing as DM then there’s Evans the bad press with Adams now EisA signed so looks like full back or out interesting few weeks lots of questions to be answered

Sutton will be back up next season, it wouldn’t surprise me to see Evans move on. Watt could play alongside Songo'o if we sign him and Threlkeld possibly right back?

Yep, I'd agree with this completely. The right mental attitude and aptitude is definitely a tick in the box, especially when one considers players like Hope Akpan, who'd suffered back to back relegations before joining the club.

 

Look, I am not saying he isn’t a good addition.

I replied to the someone basically saying it would be our best signing. We need better still.

 

Watt could be sold. Interest from other clubs.

However, if he stays then he is playing. Sutton on the bench and rightly so.

 

Whether it turns out to be Songo or another DM, it's a position we've all been crying out for years to be filled so whoever it turns out to be, it could well be the most important signing we make this summer.
