Just to add, the fact Luke wasn’t even allowed back from Yeovil on our team coach and had to make his own way back is absolutely disgusting. The depths that Edin would sink had no limits.


He wouldn’t even allow Kenny Black into Stuart’s meetings with him!

You can't defend "the undefendable" humorous or not that man nearly ruined our club single handedly.

 

I posted similar when asked why if James found it so difficult to work under Rahic he didn't leave, and said James did his best to offer a different opinion but as with most of the staff at Valley Parade Rahic micro managed them because he didn't trust them.

 

And some didn't believe it was the Luke Hendrie stituation where our season turned and the rock set in.
The sad thing was Rupp fully backed Rahic's decisions, Rupp should have been more involved when Rahic wanted Stuart gone during the closed season after our Wembley apperance simply because Stuart was more popular than Rahic.

 

But true....

So what happened then to make ER so unhappy with LH? I may have read somewhere but cant recall the coach bit.

 

Basically Rahic didnt rate Luke although Stuart had played him in several positions and said he wanted to keep him.
Dave Baldwin even offered Luke for less money with a clause saying if we got a play off place Burnley wanted £X to off set the lower fee were paying Burnley, once again Rahic undermining his manager.

 

But True.

 

On the subject of goalkeeping remember Ben Williams?
Stuart wanted to sign him.
Williams signing so he thought.
Stuart goes for a piss.
Leaves Edin in the room with Ben.
Stuart comes out of the toilet and passes Ben on the corridor.
"See you tomorrow at training" says Stuart.
"No you won't" replies Ben
"Why?"
"Edin just had a right go at me,blamed me for 2 howlers that cost us points.Doesnt rate me.Hence im not signing Stuart"

Sadly ........ There is a 'poor' Ben in all industries on a weekly basis.
(My 'turn' followed 13 years of flawless (almost) service to a multi-national Co) It doesn't matter who you work for, there'll always be someone who thinks they know it all, and knows best. Unfortunately, these are senior figureheads !!

 

I don't think it was just that Edin didn't rate Luke Henry. I think there's more to it than that.
If you remember, one of the main reasons that Rahic and Rupp bought City was because of our geographical position near to a number of big PL and Championship clubs. Edin was convinced that we could snap up large numbers of unwanted gems from their academies for next to nothing, turn them into highly rated first teamers and sell them on at big profit.
Edin saw Jacob Hansen as one of those players and he was clearly frustrated that Stuart kept playing Luke Hendrie ahead of Hansen. He made that very clear whilst chatting to supporters, including me, at the dinner held to launch the Matter of Heart DVD.
That was the point at which I started to have doubts about Edin. I couldn't believe that he was openly dissing his manager in front of fans for failing to play an untried youngster ahead of a solid older pro.
I'm convinced this was why he wanted Stuart out the first chance he got - because Stuart wouldn't buy into his 'play the youth at all costs' madcap plan.

 

The idea that Mason and Abbott were only at the club for so long to prevent Edin from destroying us is laughable when one of them was responsible for building one of the worst squads in our history and was actively part of the joke coaching team Rahic put together- a move which he fully endorsed at the time. This is all whilst Rahic piles up the debt, sucks the soul out of our club whilst our city heroes, Abbott and Mason, watch on in silence.

How did Rahic's actions come to light again? A sensible chat with the main co owner.

 

Can any give a summary of what was said for those of us not there?

A few bits have been shared but would be nice to get a few more of the tales.

I'd have had more sympathy for Abbott if he wasn't the most arrogant man I've ever met and someone who struggled to accept his faults.

The way he shot the fan down when he dared to question pre season and the squad building as a "shambles" was a disgrace.

The fan was bang on the money and everyone in the room knew it yet Abbott decided to embarrass the bloke instead of admitting errors had been made.

 

Edin got away with so much because of the wet weak opposition from abbott and mason, the back pissing from fans only added to the shitstorm
