Yep you're right, however, a coach might teach them how to kick it into the goal rather than, high wide or just at the goalkeeper.

 

So we'd need a permanent keeper .

 

And a goalkeeper coach may get them to dive and save the ball rather than just dive

Whilst true, a keeper coach only tends to work with 3 players at a time. An attacking coach, focusing on creativity, movement, set-pieces, and finishing would have a bigger pool to work with

 

It’s took Rhodes to come in to allow Hopkin to get his own men in?

Hopefully this indicates that Rhodes is telling Hopkin he really can have what he wants and he’s getting on with it. Maybe the first real positive sign.

For you to not know why Banks has departed and to assume it is because Rhodes has arrived is definitely throwing shit. Yes.

For comparison purposes Hopkin didn't have a full time goalkeeping coach at Livingston. They brought in Tony Caig on a part time basis in January, and he continued to work for Newcastle and the Scottish national team at the same time.

Maybe Hopkin doesn't feel a full-time goalkeeping coach is necessary/a sensible use of resources?

For me, what you quote above is the big reason we are in the mess we are in. The fact we employed cheap untested coaches like Drury and Collins, and also scrimped on the fitness side to me shows a complete lack of professionalism, as would having a part time goalkeeping coach.
