    How exactly has anyone formed an opinion of the performance of a goalkeeping coach, out of interest?

    How could you possibly know that?

    For comparison purposes Hopkin didn't have a full time goalkeeping coach at Livingston. They brought in Tony Caig on a part time basis in January, and he continued to work for Newcastle and the Scottish national team at the same time.

    Maybe Hopkin doesn't feel a full-time goalkeeping coach is necessary/a sensible use of resources?

    We've had that many on gardening leave we could have let them do the groundsmans job and got rid of Mick Doyle.

    I'll just remind you what you said at the time when claiming 'help was on its way' and I'll paraphrase here... "There are new owners on the way with ££££££££". There was certainly no mention by you of JR or anybody else returning as a consultant.

    I disagree. He looked the same from day one. When you compare the improvement to Jonny Mac and Duke under Butler, there's a massive difference.

    Don't need a goalkeeping coach, All they fricking have to do is catch a ball and dive.
    A striker coach is a more needier commodity.

    Despite my reservations about Hopkin, I would certainly welcome a long overdue shake up of coaching staff, staff that our manager wants. Should always be the case

    For me, what you quote above is the big reason we are in the mess we are in. The fact we employed cheap untested coaches like Drury and Collins, and also scrimped on the fitness side to me shows a complete lack of professionalism, as would having a part time goalkeeping coach.
