    imho Doyle did
    Was far from convinced with him when he arrived, definitely a better keeper when he left

    I disagree. He looked the same from day one. When you compare the improvement to Jonny Mac and Duke under Butler, there's a massive difference.

    Duke didn’t improve he came with a better reputation than when he left us as for Jonny mac he improved because he was young but has got a lot better since leaving us

    He also improved while he was with us. Jonny Mac improved because he was young, nothing to do with coaching then?

    Steve Banks joined City in June 2016, and came with Colin Doyle from Blackpool.

    There may or may not be a narrative there. If there is, I don't know it.

    As @Storck@Storck says, if Hopkin is AT LAST bringing his own staff in, great!

    Goalkeeping coach seems a strange place to start, but if he knows someone better, let's hope they're in ASAP!
