    Sorry Plastic but you are a hypocrite. You keep banging on about McCall losing games but at the same time admitting that mistakes were made by the owners on the playing side.

    Do you not accept that McCall’s hands were severely tied during January? Players injured, one going on strike, unrest amongst players and form plummeting from key players. And all the while we failed to recruit earlier enough to help McCall out.

    BingleyBantam is just the same- bloody hypocrisy

    McCall wasn’t whiter than white, let’s remember he wanted to break the wage structure to bring in a 37 year old centrehalf to replace McArdle. Stuart great player, legend, good coach, poor manager. Move on.

    no he didnt, according to mccall he offered him a deal that was about mid way up. he had his faults but at least be accurate

    The squad didn’t decide to down tools!! The performances have been shite all season let’s not kid ourselves here.. even before January we were winning games but not exactly playing well

    labelling McCall a poor manager is because people are STILL blinded by his first run here. everywhere he's been since that time he's been decent at worst. excellent at Motherwell, decent enough for the short stint at Rangers, and IMO, has done well here this time round.

    I can’t believe I am reading this stuff about McCall. He is not perfect by any stretch, but he gets the best out of players. Are there better managers probably, but can we afford them? He achieved brilliant results whilst he was here given the squad. You have only to look at how Grayson has struggled with our unbalanced squad to recognise that Stuart did extremely well here, acknowledged by are current manager. Of all the decisions the owners have made this was their most untimely poor decision. In my view it has virtually cost us a playoff place and 30% season ticket holders. That is my view,

    Poor manager, my arse. He took a club with just 8 professional players on its books and took us all the way to the PO final. This is further than his predecessor managed.

    When you travelled down to London last May, were you calling him a poor manager? When he got us to 3rd in League1 this season (and at one point, more points than the same stage last season), with a inferior squad, were you calling him a poor manager?

    We all know that the wheels well and truly fell off in January after one Rahic stunt too many. Let’s not forget that Rahic tried to fire McCall after that trip to Wembley. McCall then opted to stay and work through this, but despite his desire to keep his squad together, saw it ripped up. Don’t get me wrong, I understand that the players held the cards and it was their choice to go. But the quality of replacements were very poor.

    And then, despite working miracles with the squad, Rahic upset the Apple cart and then failed to deliver on his promise of strengthening the squad. McCall was the scapegoat and fools like you just don’t see it.

    He may have made mistakes but to call him a poor manager is just fecking stupid.
