A lot of the things they have done have gone unnoticed due to what we're being served up on the pitch, but believe me they have and continue to greatly improve the off field issues we have/had as a club

 

They have tried that and were called liars or accused of trying to decive fans. Too much has been said from both parties now (well end of the season) is the time for things to be put into action.. Then we can talk as all that is happening right now os folk are getting themselves wound up over things they themselves have written/read/made-up

 

Covering old ground here, but for me Stuart had lost the plot, run out of ideas. Going defensive at Oldham, was the final straw. Yes the owners, Abbott & McCall were to blame for the failure of the January & let’s be honest Summer transfers. Those pictures of a player piss up with fans preseason have come back to haunt the club. What impression did it give to players & potential investors outside the club. Failed in a play off final, eve of an important season & they are on the piss, like a pub team? Professional outfit or party club? These same players then downed tools, which was unforgivable & I hope this is noted by new potential clubs come this summer when they are looking for new clubs once their contracts are up.

The next 4 months are the most important in the recent history of BCAFC and will tell us what the real aims are of the owners. If they do back the manager (Grayson or other) with an increased budget to improve the squad to push for promotion then this season will soon be forgotten. If not then worrying times ahead with City potentially becoming another Crewe Alex. Good at producing young players for other clubs with no ambition to move up the league.

 

Like what? Genuine question as i have no knowledge of behind the scenes stuff.

Looking at sorting the food out
hospitality
The mess that is the corner between the main stand and the Bradford End

Some of this is long term and can only happen if we get promoted. however it's certainly being discussed.

Look they've messed up on the playing side of things this year, of that there is no argument.. They thought it was going to be easier than it is. As the saying goes Rome wasn't built in a day.. People just need to give them a chance they have said from day one they're going to make mistakes (who wouldn't) it's how they learn from those mistakes that's going to be important..

All I know is I'm sick and tired of statements coming out having to defend their actions! and people picking them to bits and "reading between the lines" to suite their agenda, end of the day we all want the same thing even the owners do. People are right to question their actions, however let them bloody do something to be judged on rather than deciding rumours are gospel fact and judging them on those.

 

You're right. There seems to be a big feeling that because both owners are German they are automatically best buddies. That's nonsense.

Also when they took over the club they said one of the big attractions is that we are working class club in a working class town. Well they should have known that with that come working class fans who use working class language, and if they find some of that offensive then they need to grow up!

 

Sorry regardless of whether it's a working class back ground or not they should not have to put up with comparisons to Nazi's or their children being bullied at school!!!

I admit if they want to run a football club they should be prepared for some words of discontent, however some of it went too far and for you to just say grow up clearly shows a complete ignorance on your part.. I'd suggest its the minority of dick heads we have as fans that need to grow up!

If we're in the play-offs in January we'll invest in the team then do sod all
Publicly backing Stuart then within 2 weeks sacking him, etc, etc.

I want them to succeed I really do but their answer to all this is to stop saying anything. What they should have done and need to do is continue to say what they are going to do then actually do it!

We kept losing games and badly, they did what they thought was required, had it been anyone other than Stuart fans would have wanted him gone, get over it.

However the above is fine.. however it went beyond that, i'm sure they wouldn't have been bothered had they been called liars, however it went way beyond that and as I said for you to just say they should get on with it, shows a real ignorance on your part!

As I have said, anything they say now just gets jumped on instantly, they've said enough now.. in the summer is the time for them to show it rather than just talk about it.

 

In general working class = less well educated which itself contributes to a position of ignorance. I'm not condoning the nazi references at all, far from it. I'm making the point that one of the reasons that attracted them to the club is also one that might come out with things that are out of order. It's not right but to some degree it's to be expected.

 

I'm not having that it's a pathetic excuse to try condone the actions of idiots! I'm working class however I know that calling Germans Nazi's and bullying is wrong!

I'm not defending the playing side of things at all as they've got that massively wrong.. but some of what is being said is ludicrous

 

How many managers get the vote of confidence from the chairman then are sacked weeks later? This occurs at all levels of professional football and will continue to do so,that's why it's called the dreaded vote of confidence.

 

I have no issue, and I don’t think a lot of us do, with sacking Stuart.
There are arguments and rumour about why we were in that position, but we went into a must win game at Oldham, against a badly performing team, and offered nothing. It was an abject performance.
The xenophobic / racist abuse was appalling, and I’d hope it’s just rumour and nothing else that they genuinely believe that is representative of most City fans. If they do, that’s pretty immature of successful businessmen.
They’ve got an opportunity now to put things right on the pitch and halt the slide and negative feelings around the place, and I for one am prepared to give them that opportunity.
Get it wrong this summer and we are in danger of undoing several years hard work and progress.
It’s likely to cost a few bob, but the longer we go without doing so, the tougher it will be to turn around.

 

Yes no one can defend some of the stuff that has been posted, thank goodness I don't frequent twitter.

 

Fair comment @Gardscoigne, just 2 comments with regards your Oldham qoute we have seen far worse under Grayson, the obvious one being Blackpool but Rochdale last Saturday was awful.
With regards your giving the owners another chance, do we have a choice ?, let's hope they have learnt from this season.

 

This is fair comment. Its wrong to to abuse in any way but society isnt fair and abuse will always exist from a minority. And that is what this is in this instance, an attention seeking minority. It is in no way a true representation of Bradford City fans and should be treat as so. We should not have to apologise on their behalf. This idea that it puts off prospective sponsors is laughable.
