Problem with fans forums are people will never get the answer to suit their agenda. A bit like watching question time, its all soundbytes and catchphrases. Unless you go to a forum with an open mind and the realisation that it is just a PR stunt then you more than likely come away very disappointed.

If Stefan Rupp is no longer interested for whatever reason he should (and maybe is) look to sell his stake in the club.

If this is case the supporters should be told. At the moment It looks to me that when the going gets tough (and I don't agree with Nazi orientated abuse towards our owners) he / they can't take the hassle. The silence and inevitable rumours this brings further divide the owners from the supporters who expected see better (not silly money) backing for the 1st team squad.

Rumour has it he can easily afford to give the backing to give us a good fighting chance but doesn't want to. He might be miffed with staff about not getting deals over the line in January but I'm sure he is aware money talks.

Deals that because of poor Summer recruitment required doing earlier - which would require additional money / paying that bit extra than during the summer - so Mr Rupp should be miffed at himself too

The roumors that are going round about Rupp not being willing to put any more money in are concerning but also a little strange. He's put a hell of alot of investment in to just see it down the pan. Unless he has alot more wealth than we know the kind of money he spent isn't likely to be throw away money and I would think he will struggle to get someone to buy him out because of the way this season and the way next year's season ticket sales have gone.

I'm not sure that is true, but if he wants out he certainly won't get what he paid back, so what does he do ?.

Your right someone will buy him out but not at the rate he paid depends how desperately he wants to sell I suppose. He's got three choices I guess sell cheap, let us go down the pan and watch his investment fail or treat it as a business and make it successful you don't have to like your customers to run a successful business!

If he's a wise man I would suggest to him not to go down that road, if the owners think some of the recent comments are OTT that decision could bring some real low life out.

If he does want out there are two ways of thinking about.spending money to improve the team remember he is going to have to put in at least a million just to retain the same budget. Or he could say dam it I am just going to keep things ticking over till someone offers enough. Either way he loses money

Then he would be totally reliant on recruiting a dozen or so unearthed junior diamonds from a net cast with unerring precision. No room for mistakes with the plan this time.

I know this sounds selfish, but I don't care about him losing his investment, they had long enough to look at the club do their figures of what is required over a few season with no success.
They must have realised that if the football side is not successful then they have a problem (less season ticket sales, which then means less merchandise being sold and less fans buying food and beverages at games) if they are not willing to fund the club, then maybe do as our last owners did sell any asset the club has, that looks like Wyke would be sold but again would we get back what we paid for him.
There is no doubt Stefan is a very successful business man so he must have seen what he was buying was potential no more, and based his business plan on the fact that unless they brought further successes to the club he might have to dig into his/their own pockets at times.

Or do you think he did his numbers solely on us going up last season? Top two chance this season was lost a while back In which case, his business plan now means shit, and he's just decided not to invest any more and look to sell? Certainly seems he brought a LOT of people to the Wembley game hoping to impress them....

Quite possibly @TallinnBantam@TallinnBantam, but there are several situations to take into consideration, they weren't to know that Phil Parkinson would turn their football model down and move on to Bolton after season on season improvement, so the logic would be auto next step if he'd have stayed with more finance that the previous two chairman could offer.
They were advised to bring Stuart in (as I don't believe for one minute they had anyone in mind once Parkinson turned them down) who over achieved with the squad he brought together, remembering some of the rubbish we eventually got rid of, McNulty, Vuckic, Morais,Anderson, Nathan Clarke, Rabiega.
This season the owners chose the the route of getting rid of the higher wage earners (unfortunately also the more experienced players) rather than go down the route of that Stuart wanted, adding a few quality signings to go with the squad that just failed at Wembley, even accepting there were the likes of Meredith and Marshall who wanted out for their own reasons, then they sold Billy Clarke without the managers knowledge ?, although some of the players brought in did very well and even with injuries to several first team squad players we were in a very challenging place until the infamous January collapse, for what ever that reason was.
Grayson was brought in and I will say to their credit he was the best name that was mentioned, but to no avail and Grayson could not turn our season around and we are where we are.

I'm honestly not sure this is true regarding stopping his investment, "Top two chance this season was lost a while back In which case, his business plan now means shit, and he's just decided not to invest any more" IMO they did not realise just what was required to run a football club if that football club had to be self financed, the turning point might have been the bad press they had for dismissing McCall, and then the flack they received from the likes of Twitter ETC.
Just what would make them believe any league one club wouldn't need their financial support at times whether that is to strengthen the squad with a bit more quality or if things go tits up they will be required to dig into their own pockets until such times as they could take money back out of the club.
If Edin is trying to get an investor/investors in to buy Stefan out for me they must have knowledge of how a football club is run, one minute it can be relatively successful and stay afloat, but one poor season will have to be financed either like Julian & Mark told us sell an asset or the owners finance the club, My preference would be a clean start with new owners who would have experience in the field they are investing in or to appoint someone who has and back them.

Rupp is the businessman behind Bradford City. He was clearly sold on the Bradford project, hence he invested.

While we were seeing a wealthy investor coming to the club, actually what has come in is significant change project. One of the key things during any change project is keeping people on board, be it customers or staff. At the moment, while it is all (mostly) hearsay and rumour, we understand that various staff throughout the club are unhappy. Similarly, we have seen our customer base shrink by around 30%.

This is a project that is in crisis at the moment, as the drop in income cannot have formed any part of their model for the club.

What happens in the next few weeks is vital for the club. I hope Mr Rupp has faith in the club and the fans.
