Wright is a nothing sort of player he has some skill with a good range of passing but he has no energy won’t tackle and never appears in either box. I used to criticise Nicky Law for his sideways passing but at least he had some drive and purpose

    How it works is this.
GB lines them all up, and he says when i call your name, step forward and you're in my plans for next season.
Then, he stands and looks at them for five minutes and says, what are you all still doing here feck off !!!

We're all aware of the difficulties GB will be facing in trying to shift contracted crap
However, despite this, I've an uncomfortable hunch. That he'll be looking to retain players that I (and Im sure many others) want rid of .

Maybe my views are a bit harsher than others, but I feel there's not a leader amongst them, and they've all loser mentality.
Quite happy if they all buggered off.

I have a feeling that excluding loans he will keep all those that started on Saturday

Even though he openly said at the end of the game that some of the players had played their last game for city? (I'm presuming he wasn't meaning the loanees as that would a be a given).

I think it's hilarious that some are saying "they won't sit at the club, take a wage and not play, they'll want to leave. They are professionals". Well, that didn't stop Reeves, Wright and Riley did it? They could have quite easily had a word with their agent during the last window and got a move to get some game time. We're stuck with them now.

The only saving grace, is that maybe they are deluded enough to think they are better than league 2 and now realise that by not turning up all season, they've made their CV's look worse.

I'm hoping GB does what my teacher used to do at school, and just pins a list up in the changing rooms of who is "in". Hopefully he can manage it with just a post it note.

Not sure how you can lump Reeves in with Wright and Riley. What club would have taken on an injured player with no idea of when/if he will play again?

Problem with that, is because we've had absolutely NO information about what is going on, I'm just lumping him in with those who are not good enough.

Seems a bit unfair, particularly as we know he did ok when he did play for us.

There’s a lot more movement in a summer window. As much as players will sit on a wage it happens less and less further down the leagues you go. We are not paying these guys 60k a week to sit in reserves. They have short careers and get more moving from signing on fees etc.

I think the opposite. Wholesale changes.

Wouldn't surprise me if it's only Mellor, Connor Wood & Scannell who he wants to keep.

Not long to wait. I think he will gladly dispense with their services if at all possible, but the problem we have is to paying them off if no other club wants them. It doesn’t make financial sense to do that, it will cost us millions, thanks to Rahic spending. We will have to grit teeth and get on with it.

It is a balancing act that Rupp et al with have to grapple with. As I understand it he wants to provide a competitive budget, but that will be seriously undermined if a good chunk of that will go to underperforming players who will probably only play if we are short. He may have to invest more to make sure GB can recruit the players, if he is kept short, then it will be a big gamble as we may well have a group of disgruntled players who may affect the overall morale of the club. Like you I have had more than enough of the toxic atmosphere at our club!

I think he will also but O'Connor might leave as maybe Doyle & Scannell

    Think Devine might also.

If he wants to keep all of them I am fine with that. We need a squad and getting rid of all the players is unrealistic

I'd be very surprised if the club said anything formally tomorrow. The various lists of who is being released or who has been offered a new contract don't have to be compiled for the EFL for almost another two weeks and it's then another few weeks before the EFL have to publish them. Of course, we do have a history of releasing some of the information after it's been submitted to the EFL but in advance of the EFL doing their own thing. Discussions might well be starting with some individuals in the near future but I doubt we'll hear anything substantial for some time.

You are fine with keeping all those players, that you quite rightly, have slaughtered on here all season?

I can understand the clubs that have not completely made up their minds about who they are keeping/releasing/offering new contracts to not releasing information for a couple of weeks, but if we know, what is the point in keeping it secret?

I'd be very surprised if Bowyer wasn't explaining to individual players and/or their agent how he sees their future at VP next season. And I'd be equally surprised if the agents of those players who don't expect to be here next season aren't already touting their clients around informally. But why would the club need to put this information into the public domain formally before the EFL deadline simply to appease a few fans? Publishing partial information will just give rise to unnecessary speculation imo.
