Smoke Bombs - Who in their right minds would glorify this?

You are probably the one on Cows Arse then mocking insensitive City fans linking smoke bombs to the fire.

Really winds me up when younger fans say this, the same young fans who were not even born to witness what some of us on here did.

There is no reason or justification for City fans to witness smoke inside a football ground ever again.

Some people like them, some don’t. Doesn’t mean either are wrong, but life’s a lot easier if you accept some people have a different view point and move on. FWIW I think some of our fans are a bit quick to link things to 1985, but if kids are being hit by smoke bombs that are being thrown, then the people doing it need to think about it whether what they are doing is right.

In this instance either EFL or individual club rules, I can’t be arsed to find out which, prevent some bombs from being used in a ground. That’s it. Argue with the club and the EFL, not other fans.

 

It’s the linking with the fire that’s annoying me. I have absolutely no problem with them being banned.

 

Witnessing a family house fire when I was 4 years old and being at VP that horrific day in 1985, I have, unfortunately, a problem with smoke and fires, so I will stand by my stance.

Not sure how you can’t fathom that being sat in a crowd and seeing smoke drifting across might act as a trigger. You could say well don’t attend football matches then as smoke and flares will always occur. However that’s not the case is it as they are banned. Therefore ignoring the fact that they can cause real injuries, they may be particularly sensitive to a group of our fans.
