The chant of "no pyro no party" from Bradford City fans is quite appaling and distasteful.
I have no gripe about exhuberance from teenagers but letting off smoke bombs inside a building and happily chanting about it? They should be ashamed of themselves.

    Yes, aside from the obvious!
At Rochdale I had my 7, 10 and 13 year olds with me. When the plebs started kicking off I was sorting the younger ones out to get ready to move to the other end (shouldn’t have to), when the flare / smoke bomb whatever that City fans threw in the home end got lobbed back and hit my 13 year old.
He was fine, apart from all three feeling sick from inhaling the smoke.
If I’m ever on my own and had a single pint I wouldn’t want to be the person near me who decides they’re a good idea!
The epitome of morons, selfish immature morons (particularly the ones who are old enough to know better).

Must be the 6 years of graft I've done since leaving high school, and getting a well paid job. Some of us have ambitions and morals :)

Why have all these teenage fans at our away matches got into this habit of singing about paedophiles and other bizarre nonsense which has nothing to do with Bradford City? It’s all just embarrassing.

I can't believe I have just read this on a Bradford City forum. "I don't mind pyro in the ground." Just listen to yourself. Think about our history and say it to yourself again. No place in any football ground, least of all amongst City supporters.

I wonder how you would react if one hit you or your child, if you are mature enough to have one, I would hazard a guess you wouldn't be very happy with the idiot that threw it

Anyone who lets off a smoke bomb inside a building needs to be detained by the Police.

The owners of the bar will have a loss of earnings and may well have suffered smoke damage to their building.

Anyone who suffers from respiratory problems may well suffer harm/ill health (i.e. severe asthma attack)

This has absolutely nothing to do with football, but is all about youth exuberance which is anti-social at the best. There is legislation which includes the use of Smoke Bombs, which I hope the local Police consider employing. https://www.cps.gov.uk/legal-guidance/explosives

It does come across as slightly hypocritical when some of the people on here deride our younger supporters for their behaviour (rightly so), but then glorify the violent outings in the 70s and 80s.

You can't pick and choose what to condemn, its contradictory.

It isn't "faux outrage" as you put it.
Read the comments of people who were there and then ask the question again. I fortunately wasn't there but know enough now about PTSD to realise that your question is insensitive to say the least.

I was in a very bad mood yesterday, so maybe I didn’t get my point across the way I would’ve have liked, or maybe I shouldn’t have made the point at all. But feck it, I’ll carry on anyway.

The stoic, heroic, no fanfare way this club handled itself after the fire, and continues to do so, makes me fiercely proud of being a Bradford City fan. Really proud!

So I’ll tell you what’s c***ish, mate. This middle England, wishy washy nonsense that seems to addle some people’s brains more and more these days, you see similar type behaviour that come from these poppy fascists, that like to piss and moan about who’s not allowing poppys to be sold, or who’s not wearing one. You know the type, they probably bought one of those tasteless hoodies, then accused anybody who dare say they were tasteless of being disrespectful.

Now, the use of these pyros is annoying, pathetic, childish. Use whatever pejorative you like. But to me, they’re just knobhead kids, being knobhead kids, I don’t think they they’re trying to be disrespectful at all. They’re just acting like I did at that age, like knobheads.

I hope the idiots are identified, named and shamed, and then given a very lengthy ban from attending games

You have not understood a single thing in my post. It's not OK, ever, ever ever for a City fan to let off fireworks at one of our matches. Think of those who died in 1985, their relatives and friends and those present that horrific day. I am sure they love to be reminded of it in their faces every now and again. Shame on you.

Indeed & didn't one of them want to give the pyro culprits a "slap"? You couldn't make it up.:brig:

And can we stop this "fire" faux outrage, it's such bullshit, it's a wonder some don't want the 5 and 6 shirts retiring to protect them from possible flash backs.

Unfortunately even if these clowns set them off around the area where they are stood (which they don't) they usually throw them, into someone else's area, it depends on the away end they can linger and they are not pleasant, I'd prefer them not to be used and hope the authorities at Barnsley actually catch some fans trying to get into the game with smoke bombs and they get long bans.

Bloody idiots today throwing flares at Rochdale fans I really hope they are caught and banned. Rochdale were no better throwing bottles and even a tyre at city fans.
