    Let’s anticipate a PR ‘bid’ for a bigger player in this window which won’t be accepted as it won’t be realistic or we’ll go in for a player with much better options but we’ll say “we tried for x but can’t compete with y”

    We improved the squad last January. Cook, Canavan, Rowe, Crankshaw, Vernam.

    we can improve the squad again.

    I would argue all improved our squad though. Injuries are short term. Canavan still our best CB and Cook best striker. Vernam best wide man.
