Killa should be managing the team. When he did the "expert" radio commentary on a few games when he was injured - he was streets ahead of anyone else in seeing what was happening and what we should be doing. Clear and articulate, he has tons of experience and its shameful that he is not, at least, playing - the powers that be cannot say he cant get in the team, we are hardly winning are we.

 

In all honesty I don't think central defence is our biggest problem. I'm happy with McGowan and O'Connor but they get zero support from their Full backs and central midfield. They can't do it all

 

If Killa is fit, he would be first name on team sheet for tomorrow.
Still not buying Collins explanation as to why not even in squads. Just doesn't make sense.

90% think Kilgallon should start? Who are you putting him in for, O'Connor or McGowan?

 

No better than McGowan and O'Connor, so no. Really don't see why all the fuss with this.

 

O'Connor has been good so far and McGowan has been decent in his City career to date. I'll give it more than a game myself, especially when Kilgallon himself is prone to the odd mistake. Our fans always think that players miraculously improve when they are out of the team.

 

But he can't even make the bench before Knight-Percival that has to be a little puzzling don't you think.
For what ever reason Collins isn't selecting him is baffling in many fans eyes, but if they believe Matt is 4th choice they should loan him out it's unfair to a 34 year old to not be having game time in the latter stages of his career IMO.

 

Is this going to turn into one of those things where the longer a player doesn't play the better he becomes.. similar to Alan Connell in the past, and Jordan Gibson now.

 

I'm not sure the two centre backs are the problem. It's what's going on around them that's causing us to be sh1te.

 

I'd be amazed if anyone votes no. Probably still our best defender and its a disgrace he is not involved

 

I got Football Manager and simulated our season so far if Killa had been selected and we'd been playing 4-4-2.

I'm going to restart it now and update club info so we have British ownership, I'll post the outcome later.

I let it sim for 50 years, as with most of our history we end up pottering around the lower divisions and flirt with going out of existence every now and then, eventually drop into non-league. The failing Bradford education system continues to churn out the uneducated and ignorant and our fan-base becomes even more scared of, and hostile to, anything different.

By 2035 no professional club in the world plays 4-4-2 anymore, but our club badge is updated to incorporate the motto "rather play 442 in the Northern Counties Eastern League than be successful with any fancy dan foreign formation".

The Bulls also continue to flounder, but happily, the two semi-pro clubs end up being owned by a consortium of a local butcher, baker and candlestick maker (these businesses only exist in what's left of Bradford at this point).

On a much happier note 2017/18 player of the year Matt Kilgallon is still first choice centre-back.

 

TBF mate, those awards should have been scrapped last season.

 

Killa has the experience and the ability to be involved in the action. He is certainly an asset. If he is being frozen out we need at least equal and the ability to step into the Match day squad at the least. This looks like an equation that doesn't add up or make sense and could end up not being cost effective in the longer term. There are still three areas which appear to need looking into..a tough ball winning midfielder, a strong and capable LB alternative and a target man who knows how to put away his chances up front. Missing Robo also requires a possible wide replacement. Think it wise for action now to enhance us rather than hold on in anticipation.

 

If the problem behind the scenes didn't exist, Killa would walk into this team.

 

That would be the ultimate slap in the face. Scunthorpe made a mistake in apointing a inexperienced manager, they quickly appoint a proper manager. We get rid of the same proper manager and appoint a rookie with no experience. You couldn’t make this up!

 

Barking up the wrong tree with this one. The problems are above who we pick at CB.
