    Article from Mail On Sunday today... Oliver Dowden now saying social distancing could be completely scrapped for theatres within weeks... And certainly ahead of the original November date they'd previously suggested.

    They are calling it Operation Sleeping Beauty.

    So yeah if there's no massive uptick in infections and deaths... I fully expect us back in Valley Parade with or without social distancing come October.

    It would be something to look forward too, as we watched the game yesterday the grandson said he missed the away experience.
    Strange that watching your team even in an empty stadium is a million times better than watching games involving other teams and I'd include England in that, watching the game was painful, Southgate thinking he could put that many new faces in because if was only Iceland.

    We have to go back to 2006, the season before the cheap tickets policy was introduced, to have sold fewer than 9,000 STs.

    I know it's an unusual situation at the moment and there was bound to be some fall off in numbers but let's put it into context. It's more than a third fewer STs than what was expected to be sold when the club was making its plans for welcoming fans back into VP. It's equivalent to losing about 50% of our total revenue from ticket sales over a season. That's going to hurt at some point and who knows what impact it might have on SMc's recruitment plans. Hopefully, we'll sell more matchday tickets with a spare 2.500 empty seats every game but there's no guarantee that will happen and we don't attract many walk-ups in normal times

    If the maximum gate per game is going to be 7,000, then having sold 4,520 in the different groupings, is still going to see a lot of spare capacity. I would think that quite a few will have bought season tickets, but for reasons of Covid and other issues, will not attend the actual game. I would think the real attendance at games will be in the 3,000-3,500 region.

    Season ticket holders, should be offered first refusal on the extra match day tickets, if that is the way the club goes.
    I for one would purchase. I love the affordable football deal but i like many can afford to pay a bit more .
    If we are offered match day tickets at say £12 , as a thank you for renewing in these times . 11 games would make your season ticket approx £290. still a decent price.

    There aren't over 2,000 empty seats available. There are no seats available as there is currently no guidance or rules regarding attending games. If the bar is set at 20% of capacity then the 9k tickets can be split two ways. If the bar was set at 40% of capacity then all 9k should be catered for. Until we know where the bar is being set we really don't know what will happen. The Claret and Amber split was based on an estimate of 30% capacity with a 100% take up of renewals. That hasn't happened. It would also be wrong in my opinion to allow a free for all of sales for games whilst paid up season ticket holders are sat at home. Everyone had a chance to renew and if they didn't for whatever reason that is their choice.

    Ryan Sparks did address this actually as it was original my intention to buy a season ticket and gift it back to them and just watch on ifollow.

    I have to say I totally disagree with this mate. If I have bought a season ticket, I should not have to pay any extra for additional games.

    The best solution, if there are 7,000 allowed in the ground is to have three categories, as @StaffordBantam@StaffordBantam has alluded to. Eg Claret and Black attend, and Amber miss out, then it is rotated for the next game.

    This would get just over 6,000 in the ground on ST holders only, but still 1,000 short of the 7,000 allowance.

    Tricky one to sort, but I would be wholeheartedly be against forking out any extra as a ST holder when my family have already spent £700 on season tickets.

    The way i see it is this.

    1. Your season ticket allows you to watch all 23 home games live, either at the ground or on ifollow.
    2. If at any stage all season ticket holders can be accommodated in the ground, they will be and at that stage ifollow will finish.
    3. The club will not be making it so that all season ticket holders will attend as many games as possible. It's either half and half with a progression to all if the regulations allow. They will not rotate say 9k fans to attend 2 out of 3 games but they will allow all 9k in when the restrictions allow.

    Sorry if this has been covered.

    just reading about the allocation of claret and Amber. The fixture lists will be released shortly and then they will post tickets out. Only at that point will we find which we are in.

    Now is it just me or is that asking for trouble? Why not email people which they are in before printing and sending tickets. That way if there are any errors they can be sorted

    I've always felt it was one of life's injustices being born outside Bradford, oh what might have been.

    The thread needs shutting. Gone wildly off topic and a 28 page thread on how many season tickets we've sold is bizarre anyway.

    Well it's in the terms and conditions regarding use,

    2.8. You must not (nor authorise or permit any other person to):

    2.8.1. use iFollow contrary to this contract, including use for any unlawful purpose contrary to any applicable laws and regulations, including in the country from which you have accessed iFollow;
    2.8.2. use iFollow other than for private and domestic purposes. Under no circumstances must iFollow nor any content be accessed or used for commercial or business purposes, without our prior written consent;

    As for the pub, well the evidence is pretty damning. There is no social distancing, there are gatherings of different households, there is enough going on lets be honest to shut them down no questions asked and possibly fine everyone there.

    I don't want to be a killjoy but I live within the Bradford Council district and actions like this have having a knock on effect to what me and my family can do. When I see actions like this and then every week i am told I can't take my kids to see their grandparents and tell my kids they can't have their friends round then yes behaviour like this is selfish and I don't care if the book is thrown at them.

    On a none personal note but on a level for people who have businesses in the City many pubs who are struggling in this climate who are following rule to the law are then let down by others allowing this to happen. Like in Bolton when the ban hammer comes down it's to everyone, so whilst this pub would deserve the sanctions, many in the district who have been following the rules would be hit badly (closing of pub restaurants etc) should sanctions like Bolton be imposed here.
