I did ask Ryan Sparks about this before the tickets were put back on sale. I'll wait and see what the details are once they are announced; then I'll probably do as you suggest.

Due to other sporting interests my attendance at games between Aug - Nov and March - May is sporadic. And mid-week games are out due to work. So I normally buy a fexi card option.
I've not upgraded to a ST simply because at a tenner a pop to watch games online I'm happy to watch on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Taking in to account the savings in travel costs and beer food etc I'm still up on the deal.
If tickets go on sale at full whack then I'll happily pay for them. But the product has to be right. That's the biggest incentive to getting fans streaming matches or going to VP
But right now I'm not setting foot at VP until this God awful virus has gone away or we find a vaccine.

The season ticket sales were always going to be down when you consider you maybe only able to see less than half the matches live. And where the club is in one of the worst places in the country for COVID infection. And as I said no flexi tickets this year either. There will be the opportunity hopefully for either Claret and amber to buy tickets for the other group increasing revenue as well.

When was this offered? I've never set foot in a suite and it's first I've heard of it.

Wasn't Rhodes wanting 20k season ticket sales this time last year or am I dreaming?

I have to say I totally disagree with this mate. If I have bought a season ticket, I should not have to pay any extra for additional games.

The best solution, if there are 7,000 allowed in the ground is to have three categories, as @StaffordBantam@StaffordBantam has alluded to. Eg Claret and Black attend, and Amber miss out, then it is rotated for the next game.

This would get just over 6,000 in the ground on ST holders only, but still 1,000 short of the 7,000 allowance.

Tricky one to sort, but I would be wholeheartedly be against forking out any extra as a ST holder when my family have already spent £700 on season tickets.

I totally agree it’s a bargain for several family members. Point being that as paid up season ticket holders, it would be immoral to ask us to pay any extra.

I think the club will try to maximize revenue and have said claret and amber , equal split . Thus leaving x amount for match day sales. You don't have to purchase on your non attendance day, just watch from home. As i said , i like many would gladly pay for the extra matches, we have had games at £6 approx since year dot. I know this is the price set by the club, but i think if you can pay a bit more , then why not, if it helps balance the books. I have often put extra monies in above the usual season ticket price.

But when we mention putting up season ticket prices fans freak out. Fans who want to pay more should get the chocie of the best seats in the house, £150 should give you whats left after the others have chosen.

Hope the club have plans in place with upto 3k tickets available on a match to match basis for any sneaky away fans trying to purchase.

And don't doubt, some will try it.

I've paid for half a season on the basis that if circumstances change i get the rest added. It isn't how it is but it should be. I'm not wanting to pay more when the budgets of the club have been cut.

I am not against that either. Although i do like to sit in the kop , so am not sure if you would call them the best seats.
I don't think there is much between any of the seats . T L Dallas excluded. Maybe they could supply a heated cushion and soft toilet paper with your season ticket.

I'm sure this 7,000 per game figure isn't confirmed yet?
As I understand it that's just figure the club have worked with.
Hopefully the capacity will be set at just over 9k to allow all STs the option of going to every game
In a way the fewer STs the more chance of hitting the max allowance per game.

Last season. I've always been given a free suite upgrade but never used it as I take my kids and sit in the Midland Road stand so last year I took up the offer of a free Flexi instead.
