Salford City away

I don't get the hate at all. In fact, the largest cry I hear from us at the moment, is for Rupp to get his wallet out! If R&R had turned out like they actually promised, we'd be in the Championship on the back of a hefty investment leading to a new playing squad. That's all Salford did. And at least the owners of Salford are self made, local born millionaires. I suspect most people are just jealous.

Has Lim joined the Salford board to rub shoulders with the likes of Becks & Co, if your going to have a co-partner it might as well be someone with a bob or two, and we finish up with Rack &Ruin .

 

Have the Class of 92 actually been pumping money in or is it just Lim with the ex players more a branding exercise? It looks better having them as figure heads rather than foreign billionaire pumps millions into non league club. The set up of the shares seems to be to give him voting rights where he can not be outvoted

Lets be honest though, Salford City don't deserve their success, much like Chelsea and Man City before them.

They have a lot of money. That is the only reason they are any good.

And as always, such normally unattainable progress has isolated Some fans.

Actually, if they all put their votes together, they have the power. If he wanted absolute control, he'd have had 51% and given them 49% to share among themselves.
Becks recently bought his 10%, so I presume he's put some money in at least. I suspect what the billionaire can provide in money, the others provide in terms of connections, brand image etc. Nice combo, as along as he's not a Twit about it all, and seeing Scholes has already left one club because of a bell end owner, seems this guy keeps the business end of things to himself, and lets the rest of the board take care of the football. Win Win.

I agree it would make sense the ex-footballer giving advice as and when asked, and the money man watching the spending.
