Why would you be glad? I don’t really care where I go following City tbh. However, I don’t think it is right that a bunch of millionaires and billionaire should pluck a team like Salford out of nowhere, fund them drive prices up even further, picking off all the best players. It’s a plaything for them, something to keep them amused after their football careers. I just hope we have a competitive team, because I see teams like Salford as being part of the problem. Fans don’t matter anymore, they are there to enhance the experience. The EFL, PL and the FA, are growing richer at the same time as the playing field is being tipped even further, no such thing as an even playing field in football. They just turn a blind eye to it all.

Trying to support your team because you feel a good connection with your team, it’s heritage, and the players is laughed at by the ppl in power. There isn’t an answer as such, it will probably self destruct at some point as fans lose interest, stop subscribing to football tv, then the sponsors will dry up, etc etc.,

Give your head a shake. Who do you think Bradford City are? I have no problem with going to Salford. Salford to Bradford is like Bradford to Burnley. Burnley fan "Going to Bradford" Second fan responds "Wont be many". This type of attitude, dismissive attitude is ridiculous. Over the past 75 years we are a low division, low achieving, small football club. Why do we believe that Salford are beneath us? If one outcome of us dropping down is that we get rid of the 'Supporting Bradford City because you are a glory hunting bastard' crowd who seem to think that most teams are beneath us, I, for one, will be glad.

    Shouldn't this be in general?

    Who cares about Salford City

Not sure what impact the punishment had though. Should have made them have Chicksen and NKP in defence for three games.

Just reinforces how utterly depressing it is we've suffered a completely avoidable relegation.

Salford was a project years in the making. I'd take their level of management and vision over their wealth. Committed owners with a clear vision. That's what we need imo.

I think the point a lot of people are making is that Salford no longer resembles the club that was bought out by 'the class of 92'. It's fundamentally changed, new owners, new stadium, new club colours, new squad, new management, new ambitions and a whole new generation of supporters. You feel for the elder generation of supporters who no longer have any connection to the club they grew up supporting.

I don't get the hate at all. In fact, the largest cry I hear from us at the moment, is for Rupp to get his wallet out! If R&R had turned out like they actually promised, we'd be in the Championship on the back of a hefty investment leading to a new playing squad. That's all Salford did. And at least the owners of Salford are self made, local born millionaires. I suspect most people are just jealous.

Just to add to this, before the ex-Man United players took over the club, Salford City’s home colours were orange and black.

They have since changed the kit colours to match Man United’s home kit, which I just find quite plastic from a team that is going to be a football league club. It’s almost as if Salford City are a younger brother of Man United, rather than a club continuing to have its original identity.

Salford City might have had success in gaining promotion to the football league, but I don’t believe it’s the same club which was supported by the original fans who followed the club prior to this takeover.

Anyway, if I can manage to get a ticket for Salford City away, I will go. However, it seems very likely that demand will outweigh supply.

Not sure which is the more absurd suggestion that fans will lose interest or that Labour will gain power and regulate football payments

I’m not goading anyone. I wasn’t the one that tagged someone just to try to try to get a bite. My comment to you was a statement of fact. You haven’t learned from being warned just a couple of days earlier.

I get that you don’t agree with Park, many of us don’t. But stop it with the constant baiting. It’s boring for the rest of us

Salford are just another Crawley / Fleetwood who have bought their way up the leagues , everything that is wrong with football today.

Has Lim joined the Salford board to rub shoulders with the likes of Becks & Co, if your going to have a co-partner it might as well be someone with a bob or two, and we finish up with Rack &Ruin :(.

I'm totally confused. WTF has Labour or any political party got to do with this topic? Can you explain why any party would have an impact on this situation? Please leave politics out of City related topics. Things are tough enough .

Like when we bought our way to the top table with Geoffrey Richmond's cash. Which then turned out wasn't his.

Yep. I imagine they'll be really pissed off as they both lift their respective countries league trophies.

Well done UEFA, you certainly showed them.

If some new owners took over Bradford City who were ex-players from a Premier League club and then changed the colours Bradford City played in to deliberately match those of their ex-Premier League club, it would no longer be the same club.

I wouldn't have had an issue with Salford City being promoted to where they have if they had kept the same traditions the club had before the ex-Man United players took over.

I don't have an issue with other teams like Fleetwood, Crawley or Stevenage for climbing up the leagues with a lot of money because they didn't change what the club was.
