It’s got everything to do with it.

Clubs such as Salford wouldn’t be able to go as silly with seemingly unlimited funds at the expense of genuine clubs who have grafted their way to the EFL.

The job by the ex Utd boys and rich owner is done.

I'm not convinced that they will push the club further now.

Sure the council are happy. Think about what I am saying @Park bantam@Park bantam

The government can not get involved in the regulation of teams if we want to stay in UEFA/FIFA

I wouldn't go worrying yourself @Stork, the present Labour Party couldn't run a bath.

I think he was referencing the UEFA/FIFA rules rather than a specific party.

Just read it, interesting; I doubt they would put it in their manifesto without a legal beagle running their eyes over it. Depends how it is done tbh. The government of the day already is influential in how clubs are run. Health and Safety rules and regs. Why we can’t have a drink sat in your seat. There is always liaison between the FA and government.

Like clubs who were elected straight into the second tier?

Don't understand this as I don't read party manifestos. Are Labour about to ban money?

Wake me up when its over....

Salford are well plastic, but their proximity to FC Utd (struggling) makes for an interesting future. Can see the "real" idealistic fans being left with nothing.

Maybe not directly, but Labour will do more for football fans like you and I than the tories do.

Their proximity is similar to Crawleys. Their momentum certainly lasted. Didn't the fella who made boots bankroll a team into the league? Are they still going? Genuine question.

Not sure what their proposal would even achieve. It is all well and good having supporters on the board with access to details but they wouldn’t be able to share anything without permission of the rest of the board due to confidentiality so what is the point if they can not feed back and have no say in business decisions

Was it the owner of Doc Martens, he sponsored Rushden & Diamond FC and later West Ham getting a stand named after them.

Like when we bought our way to the top table with Geoffrey Richmond's cash. Which then turned out wasn't his.
