Sack The Manager?

I'll give you a clue.....................most of us want to see Stuart succeed....

 

I want Bradford City to succeed. The manager in that equation is irrelevant. If it is McCall great if it is someone else great.

For me he should be measured exactly the same as Bowyer, Hopkin, Collins, Parkinson, Taylor, Todd etc etc. No slack should be given.

This time it has to be purely business.

If we can agree that then I am happy,

 

What our club needs at this moment in time is stability.
We have he'd too much manergerial turmoil with the turnover in management and playing staff nothing short of ridiculous regards the numbers coming through the doors at Valley Parade.
When will Bradford City ever have a season without all this constant chopping and changing.
I'm sick of no longer knowing my club, it's playing staff or who's next in line to try their luck and revive our fortune's.
Keep the present manager,get rid of all the deadwood in the summer and finally give the bloke a chance timewise to create a club we can be proud of with a stable identity.

 

Considering he was given a contract until the end of the next season he needs to prove himself ASAP.

McCall is no fool, he knows he will have to start making a difference even with a poor set of players. He will know he needs to change certain things and show he can motivate players etc.

I believe this season has gone but plenty of time to work on things for next season and for us to get off to the best start possible.

 

People talking about a loss of identity in the club should be celebrating SMs return. Let's give the bloke a chance. See where is tenure takes us. I personally would love to see a promotion under his guidance. Wouldn't fancy the task he faces for any money.

Stuart has obviously looked at this group and seen that it lacks the character for a late assault on the play offs.

He's tried to play down the 'daydream' of a Wembley final, and is openly, publicly focused on next season.

On that basis, the club really need to up their game in terms of connecting the club's fans with the owner's ambitions. What is the Summer going to look like? It's great that Stuart has said he's going to trim the fat and reduce numbers, but the club should be saying they'll back Stuart and we'll assemble a force to be reckoned with and that next season, the objective is "Xth" position in the league. Let's start shaping next season's expectations now, the monetary plans must be in place already, so share with the fans.

If the club don't make it clear what fans can expect next season then they might as well come out and say it's time to stop day dreaming about 20,000 fans.

 

Completely agree with that. At the end of LAST season, I said the time to judge Bowyer would be this season. It would have been unfair to make him accountable for lastly season. But he made a balls of things, didn’t shape the squad well enough and ultimately he failed.

Same thing with Stuart. He inherited a mess. The time to start judging will be next season.

 

We already have an identity, its just not a very good, of forward thinking one.

 

R & R won't publicly admit they've given up on this season. I doubt they'll comment until it's mathematically impossible to make the play offs.

I'm absolutely sick of what's happened to our club since it was sold, as many are.

We can't continue chopping managers, using 30/40 players per season and going backwards. Somebody has to grab the nettle and get a grip of this club before it's too late and we find ourselves out of the trap door.
Stuart simply has to deliver a strong end to the season to give us hope that at least on the pitch we're moving in the right direction.

 

The transfer moves in January highlighted they had given up but the big question is why?

Like you, the sooner a new owner and CEO type person are running the club the better.

players aren't suited to any tactic. Burnleys squad probably would be able to gengenpress very well. We are currently in a similar situation. A lot of the signings made during the summer were made with a defensive priority. BRE is a great example as hes good at winning headers but crap with his feet. So recently hes got some flack.

So like i said two windows to get his style of player in.

 

Not for me.. we can't afford 2 windows.

And if McCall goes then the next man gets 2 windows?

He has to show he can improve players, get us to play his way(or at least highlight it).. For me I would be making decisions on McCall Oct/Nov.

 

I have a slight problem with the idea that McCall needs players who can play his way.

The manager needs to adjust his tactics to suit the tools he has. Saying you cant win with the players you have (a team that has spent most of the season in the top 6 and still has a winning record) is a bit of BS. If Bowyer could get an overall winning record and keep us in the top 6 for the first half of the season with these players then McCall should be able to.

Adopt a style of play to suit the players you have.
