Doesn't lack respect from me, his opinion is as valid as the next posters.
A little eccentric but I blame the Filey air.

If you were there yesterday then you can’t say the attitude was wrong. The frustration at conceding an undeserved goal and the reaction to the time wasting shows that. The attitude and commitment has been there all season. What’s been lacking is that extra bit of quality that gets you wins in matches like that. Lots of older supporters have endured this league for many years the secret of it is coming out of matches like yesterday’s with three points which was the case in our promotion year. There were loads of similar games. Teams aiming to stop other teams trying to play. Right from the first few minutes yesterday FG were time wasting playing for a point but ending up with three thanks to a dubious offside decision and Vaughan’s backside.
Certainly people calling for Bowyers head after one defeat would do the same again with the next manager we might as well hand out monthly contracts to save money

What at @Fordy117@Fordy117 would like is managers working without a contract so as soon as they lose a game they can be fired..

Half time sackings of managers should be brought in for @Fordy117@Fordy117 .

Just wished we had a manager with the gonads to play attacking football, I mean we're used to losing now anyway so lets go for 3-4's instead of dreary 0-1's...it would be a start....

The Preston game just showed Bowyer how bad our midfield and back up were , hence the recruitment of Cooke and Devitt. We’ve played 5 games for god sake not 25 so give Bowyer the chance to mould the squad into a decent team. He will need a few more games to work out our best 11 and formation just like every other manager with their squads.

Northampton, Scunthorpe, Salford and Mansfield were all expected to do well this year according to the bookies.

Scunny are bottom with a point. The other three have won once.

It is still funny season, for sure, and despite the fact they’ve been criticized for being a poor team - which they are not - Forest Green are third, having won three of their five so far!

    Don't care about other teams!

Only care about us and what we do.

Agree to an extent. But the point is that we’re still in the tinkering stage and no need for massive overreactions. I know they are vegans and its a bit of a laugh but FGR are a decent team and some aren’t appreciating that.

We finish above them then we’ll be in the seven.

    Top 3 is the aim.

No over reactions. People can take losing but it's the manner of how we lost that's the problem.

As for it being a tinkering stage, it's a results business. You talk about Scunny, Salford and Mansfield not getting off to be best of starts so couldn't we be looking to make sure the gap to them is as wide as possible at any stage.

If I am honest I don't see Salford, Mansfield or Scunny being a threat this season.

I've not seen a game so far this season so don't know how bad or good we've actually been.

I do know that calling for a manager to be sacked 5 games into a season becomes a vicious cycle. I'm not yet convinced by Bowyer but it's way too early to be talking like this, especially when we know of the issues with the squad he inherited.

I really do wish city fans would get over this "style of play" obsession though. You'd think by now we'd have figured out that lower league football is not of the highest quality, sometimes turgid but with the occasional high.

Plymouth and Mansfield will be up there with with (hopefully) us when the form settles down. Don’t think Scunny or Salford will either though.

The thing with Bowyer its nothing personal. But why change a winning team? Why set up defensively at home when we are supposed to be the favourites to win the league? we change the formation? why leave Sean Scannell on the bench?

We should be taking the game to the opposition regardless of what team it is. Very poor from Bowyer and for those reasons I can understand why fans are losing patience. We've had 6 games now, 5 in the league and 1 in the cup. We've not even played well in any of those games.

Personally i'd get rid now. whats point waiting till the 10 game mark when we've probably only won an extra one or two games? He didn't even hold his hand up that it was his fault on Saturday, such an arrogant stubborn manager. We've not played one decent side in the league yet.

He’s given his reasons. Henley injured. Scannell injury prone and didnt want 3 x 90 in a short space of time.

Personally, thought Longridge and Gibson should have then come in rather than change system back, but he didnt change things for the sake of it

Agree. What I have seen of Longridge he looks as good as Henley.

Put Connor Wood left mid and keep his attacking threat higher up the pitch.

It's the arrogant stubborn manager bit that concerns me. I am concerned he hasn't got a real assistant manager in and that will cost us because Bowyer needs guidance.

However is he so arrogant and stubborn that he won't see this and it will cost the club. Hope not!

He also said he didn't want to change the formation 4-3-3 from the win at Stevenage, but yet did precisely that after the Oldham (4-4-2) game at Stevenage
