Ohhh so it's OK to do it every year then. But moan we can't afford players because fans aren't buying season tickets. Yes the expectation of lower clubs to win has to be kept to a realism - which is why when it does happen it can provide a lifetime of memories, not just for us but for football as a whole.
There was an article in the Times over the weekend about Parky leaving Bolton - and very little on actual football in his time there but our League Cup run and win at Chelsea were mentioned in some detail (inc Mourinho comments about the size of our players gonads!)
It is why I was disappointed with the team GB picked to play Preston - I dream one day we will be able to experience those highs again. Unlikely I know, but optimism and hope are the faith that leads to achievement

 

Two wins, two draws and a defeat and we want him sacked. If this is the reaction then nobody will succeed.

Park said he believed we had no chance to beat Preston. You said earlier that GB's line up also suggested that.

 

But if you read what I put aswell you would understand that comment.
For your lack of understanding Bowyer stated in the press he wanted to win the tie. But going by the team he put out he obviously knew they were not good enough but he won't admit that will he. I hope this helps you if not ring Park up as your both on the same cloud.

Well Bowyer wants to stop saying things to the press and then going in a totally opposite direction because it will only last so long then it will blow up in his face big style and most of the supporters won't trust a word he says.

Calm everyone the guy has spent his life in football I'm sure he knows better than us what he's doing and how he wants his side to play. I have every faith.

TBF RT you are comparing quite different teams and behind the scenes set ups.

We have just had the season from hell and are trying to rebuild some sort of football team.

The 2013 cup run came with a completely different back story.

Chalk and cheese.

GB seems to have knowingly forgone a cup run to focus on promotion. I do want my £15 back by the way as i felt cheated based on the line up v Preston.

I would take promotion every time over a cup run.

 

We made no attempt to win the Preston game mate, I was there and it was pathetic. Now I didn' t expect us to win but I expected us to compete, with that sort of attitude the much lauded history makers would never have happened. Funny enough we saw the same attitude yesterday with our game plan.
