Mr Acceptable at it again. Accepting rubbish that Bradford City dish up and making excuses.

We'll know what Div 2 football is about and sometimes when football is played we can accept the fine margins that happen at times to time but what we can't accep Mr Acceptable is a manager being tactical inept and trying to be clever. Bowyer yesterday messed up.

I've said many a times we're the big boys in the league and certainly home we shouldn't be acting scaring if clubs that come to VP. We were on a back to back winning run and the manager decides to make about 3 unnecessary changes and plays a stupid formation. It was no shock Donaldson and Vaughan looked shattered.

The only credit I give Bowyer yesterday was dragging the deadful Devine off at half time.

If you can't admit when a manager or the club has done wrong then how on earth do you feel the club will move forward. To process you need to know the negatives and Bowyer has played the wrong formations in all but 2 games and funnily enough we won them both.

Lets see how we play over the next few games now we have what seems like 2 attacking midfielders.

Yoi could see the difference immediately yesterday.

I suspect they will pose more of a threat than palmer akpan or devine... combined.

I think many supporters are quite rightly getting fed up, is it too much for us to turn up at games expecting continuity/momentum, a bit of excitement, and a decent amount of wins(particularly at home). The manager seems to see things in certain players the supporters don’t, never a good omen.

We should not be getting mugged off in games like yesterday, with the squad we have they should be able to apply themselves under the correct management and put a 90 minute performance in, if you lose saying that then it’s easier to accept rather than rue an inept team performance and a missed opportunity, unfortunately the latter seems to be more the norm but it’s early days.

Delusion of grandeur we are not big boys in terms of budget we have been a lower league team for the biggest part of our history and your hysteria won’t change that. We need to play better and will but there will always be matches like yesterday because it’s the way the league is Forest Green will be in or close to the play offs with their spoiling tactics.

As the saying goes @Dubois@Dubois, "footballs a funny old game" under Phil Parkinson I think we saw some of the most exciting games of our recent history, maybe not the best quality football but then again tell me which teams have had sucsess in the 4th and 3rd division playing great passing football consistently, I dont think it happends in leagues 1 and 2, the odd team like the Bristol City team that Stephen Lansdown bought Steve Cotterill or that good Wigan side Gary Caldwell took back up into the Championship.

Problem is for Bowyer, Rupp and fans. Every time we play recently i feel we need another player in and that's mainly down to Bowyer changing formation all the time.

We need a winger for sure as Gibson isn't good enough and Scannell is just not producing like his talent should be.

We 100% need back up for Donaldson and Vaughan

I wouldn't disagree with a word of that, Broncs, but I also remember the countless games when I was bored out of my mind by PP's turgid football. And he hasn't changed at all, as a glance at the Bolton News in recent times would have shown. Whatever league you're in fans go to football to be entertained, and there are far too many managers who either don't understand that or don't care. Having seen how GB sets up his teams in the short time he's been here it's pretty clear that he's very negative in outlook, very unadventurous, stubborn, cautious, unimaginative, more concerned with not losing rather than going for a win, and, to put it bluntly, bloody boring. His method might be successful, in which case many will forgive him, but managers like him and PP seem to have no affinity whatsoever with the average fan and, ultimately, no proper understanding of what the game of football is really about.

I agree up to a point fans go to be entertained but I also believe as football fans and followers of a specific clubs Bradford City in our case we give far more tollerance to supporting our particular club than expecting to be entertained every game.
Iast season being a good example the football on show was dire most of the time but we still pulled over 10,000 most home games and still traveled in numbers most clubs in our league could only dream about.
Take yesterday as an example I posted I'd take a defelected goal off Dobaldsons backside if it meant getting 3 points (screw the entertainment) but I do understand your comment with regards wanting to be entertained as well as getting all 3 points :p.

No we count all games played by the first team. No need to dress it up, it was what it was and was a horrendous thrashing. I assume you called over to watch the game?

It was a cup game but Bowyer thought he would be clever and change 8 of the starting line up which was quite amusing as he had stated he wanted to win that game but by doing what he did knew there was only ever going to be 1 outcome.

Yesterday drilled it home, for me, that City are back in the lowest league once again. It reminded me of countless games before Parky arrived, from Stuart's first spell via Jacko and Taylor, where we looked ineffective and substandard. Not beaten by a better team but by one that spoiled and made it as scrappy as possible. Games where opposing teams came with a strategy that worked, whilst the home team couldn't work out how to overcome it.

If we'd been watching a home team of inexperienced, home grown youngsters. Who were developing but looked like they might become something half decent and competitive over the course of a season. Then I'd want to encourage and get behind them in the hope that they came good. That's not the case though, it's mostly a rag bag of loanees and players at the wrong side of 30 up front. A group of individuals hunting for a strategy and method over the course of 90 minutes.

It feels to me like they're back at square one again, but City permanently play on a snakes and ladders board where there's far more snakes than ladders. You watch, that footballing behemoth; Salford FC will be competing in the Championship whilst the Bantams will still be a mid table League 2 side.

And whilst I'm having a whinge, the decision to not provide Bowyer with an assistant already looks myopic. Another pair of eyes with a different perspective may help him see that whatever he's trying to do isn't working.

That just shows a lack of respect to a trophy that you did well in, in living memory.

Preston are an excellent championship team even if we had played our first eleven we wouldn’t have come close

See this is why people think you're a major WUM that lacks respect for other posters.

The Preston game was a cup game and we all know shocks happen in cup games.

Park, that is just the most defeatist comment you have ever made - thank god the Parky team that gave us the some of the greatest moments in our history didnt go along with your mentality (remember we were also a League 2 team then!)
