Can we have some names who we would replace him with? I’ve only seen one in Jones so far, who’s to say he’d drop back to this level again?

Hurst seemed to be a popular choice the last time we asked for a new manager choice. He’d be long gone from us with where Scunthorpe are in the league.

Evans another. Similar style to Bowyer, teams always very physical. Doubtful he will leave Gillingham for us

    any more?

See fans do play and massive part. Rightly or wrongly you've to listen to them.

Season ticket sales.. unhappy fans will not benefit a football club.

The players will be discussing things on what's app groups and be as frustrated as fans.

Bowyer is making this difficult and boring.

So you say if we drop out of the play off position he should go?

Maybe a left field one but Ian Evatt at Barrow. Done a magnificent job there on what I imagine is a low budget and according to Barrow fans, it's the most exciting football they've seen.

Too late to get rid of Bower, it's like working on a building site and he's got these great trowels and an expensive level. But he can't lay the bricks straight and everyone on site hopes he might get the hang of it tomorrow.

You're right, yesterday was shocking but realistically, we were never going to go the rest of the season unbeaten and were obviously going to lose at some point. It's happened and it's now about how we move on - like you say, we are more than capable of beating anyone at home, but I have a sneaking feeling Bowyer will be so fixated on not losing again next week that the way he will set us up to play will result in a draw at best.

We are only outside of the autotmatic promotion places on goal difference. It is such a tight division it would be harsh to sack Bowyer now. Sacking is recognition someone has failed, and Bowyer hasn't failed (yet/if at all).

He is doing a brilliant job at Barrow, hope he gets them back up to the football league.

He looks a tough character too who you would imagine would demand and get a reaction if not going well.

I wonder whether Bowyer is too nice, he comes across that way, like McCall did

It would have been difficult to play anything else but 442 and fit in Vaughan, Doyle and Connelly. I’m
Not sure he changed just to appease fans but because he had no choice.

He gets the rest of the season for me. If we tail off badly in the next few months then maybe sack him with six games to go to give a new manager to cast an eye over the players with a view to moving players on in the summer. But while we are only out of the top three on goal difference I would be giving him my full support.

What if it is the pressure from the fans that has led to this fear of failure mentality away from home? No away win since, what, October, and the fans are now very vocal in their criticism. Are his set ups influenced by the fans or does he do what he wants and not care either way?

I just think a lot of fans are jumping on him at the moment and expressing their dissatisfaction, when the season hasn't exactly gone off the rails. We had the joint best defence in the division going into yesterday. On expected goals and other statistical KPIs we are one of the top six sides in the division. We've got Doyle back from Swindon and Donaldson, who was one of our big summer signings and a key influence earlier in the season, due back as we try and improve our goals output. Yesterday was a set back but, if being honest, we are in as good a position as I think we could have expected to be moving into the second half of the season, given the injuries we've had to contend with.

We do need to step things up in the next month, though, especially to address the dire away form.

Just like yesterday's performance, even the radio leeds guy's were saying the subbed players weren't happy and letting it be known.

Something isn't right in my opinion.

I do honestly understand the virtues of stats, Brentfords success is built on it. But yesterday was yet another game where we created little if nothing in terms of decent chances. The only way i can see that we are in the top six of decent chances created is if the rest of the division are creating absolutely nothing. Bowyer has built his success on stopping the opposition playing, not outdoing them in terms of creating chances.

Ok, what you do at the end of the season?

    Season ticket sales are down.

You've clubs like Bolton(who have money now) coming down.

You can't attract the players like Vaughan because you're in league 2 for a second year.

For me end of the season is too late.

Bowyer has to be given targets(kpi's) to achieve now if the board are unsure. Not firmly in the top 3 by the end of the month then we need to sack him.

We've the squad to go up.

    His football is dire!

I question Rhodes and Rupp's commitment to the club in terms of wanting to take it forward and if we wait until the end of the season when it's clear fans are getting frustrated then for me I want both Rhodes & Rupp to go with Bowyer.

We don't start games with belief, confidence or intent!

Change it! Point where opposition goal is and emphasize
That's where you put the ball.

I'm fed up with slow starts to games giving confidence to
the opposition.Bowyer admits the side to side and back
passing is frustrating although I thought that was coached
    into players to keep possesion.

It's ok showing all teams respect but beating them is the
object of the game so let's start doing that!

Dave don’t come on here with you’re logical, reasonable, well thought out response. Or you may be hung drawn and quartered next to Bowyer by the short term head hunters who demand instant results. The fact he is ahead of where most fans expected is to be after the shit show last season isn’t good enough. You’re not allowed to just be frustrated. We must demand more. His head no less.....

Agree you can't sack a manager who has us in a play off spot (unless you are called Edin)
You can however give him the "hard word" and tell him to improve the entertainment value if not we would be lucky to achieve 10000 season ticket sales which would impact massively on the way the club is run. You mention goal difference I can see us missing out on goal difference Autos/play off
We only seem to come alive in the last 20 minutes of games our last three goals have been very lucky 2 Scrambled efforts by Oteh and Shays free kick as good as it was 9 times out of 10 they don't go in at this level We should be attacking from the off (we have the players) and let other teams worry about us instead of waiting 60 mins to see what they have got (that should be done weeks in advance) and reacting to it
GB is a manager squeezing out results to maintain our position against very poor sides
We have the best 2 strikers in the division but can not/ will not play to them
Imagine an attack minded manager with those two possibly promoted by Easter

TBF He can’t win. There’s a significant chunk of the support screaming must play 442. There’s many screaming Doyle at Swindon is an embarrassment. Well those screaming for 442 got what they wanted as did those who demanded Doyle back. Both are wrong. It’s more a case of getting a system that suits the players we have. We are functional. We do have wingers who can attack however their output is poor. Connolly’s crossing is worse than Woods. That’s why Wimbledon let him go.
We just need to get up. Ugly if necessary. And let the team develop. Agree it’s been really poor but what happened the last time we sacked a manager when in the play offs? Give him the season. Then take stock if necessary.

There's no point asking Bowyer to be more attacking when he doesn't know how to do it. If we stick with him this dreadful football will continue and more and more people will fall away and then not renew season tickets for another year in this division.
