Exactly, what's the point. If we aren't sure that it will change our fortunes, then we may as well wait until towards the end of the season to recruit a new manager. If we sack Bowyer now and appoint a new manager who fails to reach the playoffs, people will be complaining that he's not good enough and the negative vibe will continue into next season. It's a knee jerk reaction, people are thinking short term, if we appoint a new manager now and he doesn't get us promoted people will be angry at him as well.

These lads are not playing for Bowyer, they are being restricted from competing and are probably just as pissed off as us fans. The Doyle situation has found out Bowyer big time and the proof is in the pudding for everyone to see.

At this stage if we can’t get the Jones guy in and look to longer term I would give Warnock a shot till end of season, he will get some fire in the players bellies and demand an aggressive committed team out there.

Sorry but anyone who thinks Neil Warnock is coming to VP Towers is delusional

@Lard Arse@Lard Arse - no idea if he is and I think it is highly unlikely but he did say in a recent interview he would consider D2 until end of season , I think it was so he could get to a certain number of games managed.

sack bowyer, sack the players, sack the board.. start all over again in the summer. build a new club in a new stadium, must play 442, write it in the club mission statement, bradxit football.

I'd take Warnock, absolutely. Not sure I see it happening, even with his recent comments but you never know. His football is still pragmatic, but he knows how to do it well.

My top pick would be Nathan Jones. A more progressive coach playing attacking, technical football. That's what I want to see.

I thought Bowyer was a decent appointment but the promotion train does seem to have gone off the rails. Sacking him now should only be considered if there is someone lined up to take over immediately. If Neil Warnock would be that someone go for it tomorrow.

Got a really difficult problem has Rhodes. Rupp will take advice from Rhodes on football matters. So as Rhodes will have recommended a 2 year deal for Bowyer he’s now going to have to go to Rupp and tell him he needs approaching 150 K to pay Bowyer off. Rhodes position becomes untenable.

As much as I’d like to portray myself as a man of wisdom most of us have been calling this for weeks. whether it’s formation, style of football, team selections or substitutions most of us have recognised that Bowyer is out of his depth. Clueless in every department and judging by his post match comments completely oblivious to the problems that face us.

We cannot just let this season fizzle out, because we can’t stomach sacking yet another manager. However, it is impossible to think or plan long term whilst we are currently in fire fighting mode. We have to have a short and long term plan that needs investment. That is the answer, we must have plans to work towards. This just feels like we are throwing away promotion; we are differing and we are now at the point where we just have to make a decision.. anything beyond Tuesday and we are done as far as promotion is concerned. Both Rupp and Rhodes need to be brave and bite the bullet or the whole process gets harder with each passing day.

To be fair @brisbanebantams@brisbanebantams your opinion on all topics bcafc is usually more or less the complete opposite to mine, in turn, I wouldnt have been suprised to read of your complete support for Bowyer this evening...

There is no commitment, application or endeavour in the team that's what Mansfield had today If Bowyer can't put this into the team nothing will ever change the season will just fizzle out then next season the same. Perhaps at Blackpool he had a good coach behind him and if Todd hadn't left who knows but with Drury, the coach to four different managers and perhaps the common denominator to all this dross.

I totally agree, l don't think even McCall could get "football" out of this useless bunch. I thought about it today, how many of our players would you say could nail down a place in an auto promoted side from Division 4? I thought 4, so why would l expect top 3?

I've said it for a while, most of our players are shit & thus the idea that Bowyer is underachieving with them, is also shit.

No problem with him being sacked due to the piss poor, unimaginative & safety first football on show.
