I’ve been pretty silent on bowyer during this terrible run hoping he can turn it around, but this is now dreadful and has been for a couple of months. Time for him to go. The sooner the better, so any new man can make a couple of changes in the transfer window. Extremely disappointing. The wheels have totally come off and he doesn’t know how to change it. We have some of the best players in the league, and for that I applaud bowyer for putting them together as a group. But they need real guidance, coaching, and tactics. Unfortunately bowyer doesn’t have that in his locker.

 

Games over. Has he been sacked yet?

 

I wonder if the Bowyer Out brigade are still being fickle...

 

I'm yet to be convinced that an immediate change in management will lead to an immediate upturn in our form. I think the best case for sacking Bowyer is if you think this season is over and we need to plan for next season. I can understand that, but I'm still not convinced that we'll become better overnight if we just axe him.

 

Lets give it a go. Sticking with him we'll continue to plummet! Give someone else the chance to save our season

I'll agree to it on the condition that the new manager is absolved of all responsibility for the performances for the rest of the season and he gets to start with a clean slate, blame free, in the summer. Common sense included obviously, if the new manager loses every game from now until the end of the season 4-0 or starts wearing a L666s shirt then this is clearly an exception.

Every performance since then has followed the exact same template, which is a bigger worry than anything else as it shows it won’t be turned around, he’s lost the dressing room. I hate modern day football for its player power, but you’ve got to play the game, once it happens there’s no point in continuing.

Even a change at this stage though and I worry we’re staying in this league another season unfortunately. As we need a whole new coaching team as well, plus a change in philosophy and playing style. Bielsa said it takes players at least 6 weeks to adapt to him, and that’s far better than division four players.

It isn’t a quick fix some people think it is. I’m afraid we’re in this league next season. We need to start the clear out ASAP though and be ahead of the game and plan for the future. I’d hate to go for a Neil Warnock type manager who would be similar to when we got Grayson a couple of years ago. We need to stop this short termism thinking as a club. It’s got us nowhere in the last 20 years even if we’ve had the odd good memory along the way.

 

We made that mistake with Bowyer in the first place!! We need to see marked improvement if someone else comes in or what’s the point?

 

Somebody who knows the division and gets backed in the transfer market.
