hold on. We were told contracts were signed by was it Nick W. And that it was the full monty, problem being solved full stop. Some said it will be more bullshit and got shot down for suggesting a patched up repair.

A lot more than the £100000 being banded about.

In all fairness it suggests a comprehensive renewal with replacement drainage, advice from Bingley, a local (ish) designer with extensive experience of pitch work and specialist contractors. What more could you ask for?

I've always been of the opinion that the board expected (due to his previous L1 success) Grayson to come in and turn things around almost immediately and see us safely into the play - offs. I'm sure they believed the team was good enough, only the manager wasn't.

I ain't been a fan of ER but, and a big but, if he stays, continues to implement his vision and hopefully listens to those around himself, then you know what, fair play to him.

Stubborn, determined, disillusioned, confident, idiotic, visional ... You decide. That said, credit where credit is due. He could (and others would have) walked.

I may live to regret this but I hope he proves me damn well wrong in my criticism.

Just the one comment @bantamdave41@bantamdave41, how do you come to this conclusion, serious question, he has pumped most of his money into this venture and moved his whole family over here that would be one massive walk out IMO, now if the rumours about an offer are true he may get that choice, but most are saying (and I believe it) Edin is the least likely to want to sell.

Not sure he could have walked with (reportedly) 5 of his £6 million invested in the purchase of the club.

Dave, we have had changes. Did it work? Jury is out. Will new owners and more change work? Who the hell knows.

Maybe he has pumped all his money in. I know sod all. Maybe, he has a cunning plan. It may work out like Baldrick but I can't doubt it must be hard to continue under the current situation when walking, may, I repeat may, be the easiest option.

To be honest Dave, I'm sick off all this negativity around the club. Really am. I'd love to see some, if not all disperse and we can move onwards and upwards.

    Fingers crossed.

I'm not talking money. I know feck all around this.

I'm talking about longevity and determination. That's it. Could be the complete opposite mind!

I get all that mate but my reply was more about how Edin could just walk away far too much invested in the club, we will certainly know within a few weeks what the situation is with regards the coming season and who will be managing us.

From what I heard it is doing half the pitch this season and half next season. So one end now and then the other end next season as the drains run side ways rather than the length of the pitch. I was told it was due to time issues as if we had got through to the play offs there wouldn't be time to do it all in one go, slightly more expensive doing it in two halfs but not possible to do it all in the time frame after the plays and then to relay the pitch before pre season

Now that would be more in line with the comments we've heard, yes until you reminded me the drains do run across the pitch rather than the length of the pitch so they could dig one half up do the drains ETC and hopefully have it back for the start of the season and do the other half next closed season, hopefully starting with the Kop end as that seems to be the worse end with regards the hidden foundations.
