Why can't they say it? We've been fed the bullshit about going for top 2 on a mid table budget so why can't they set realistic targets reflective of the budget?

 

Cant believe we asked to be removed from the looser gains all gate receipts. That is ludicrous and bad management.

And for the doubters maybe a question to be asked at an official function.

1. Did we receive Millwalls gate receipts from Wembley? As per gentleman agreement.
If not then ask why and make sure you get it recorded.

 

When its in regards progression it is not taken into account.

You want to pass that by me again @JonButterfield ? I'm struggling to see your main point, when I know the facts, in that although we did not finish higher, we still got to the PO Final. I know it was wasted - but have you forgotten already ?

 

When that was said we were winning matches and were two points of automatic whilst it might have been possible to see a falling away a bit the total collapse was impossible to predict. No owner is going into the season saying we aren’t going up. Who knows we may surprise a few

 

Not sure they will do that as this season is their third and I believe their comment (I won't say promise because no one can predict what can happen to a football club as we know from this seasons debacle) was they wanted to be a Championship club in three seasons, so as you say give who ever the manager might be a reasonable player budget to bring the club the sucsess we need to progress.

 

Me too. With the resources they will give him I guarantee he will get them promoted. However he's off to Bolton to replace Parkinson who is off to Sunderland.

Not great but it isn't the apocalypse either!!! I am just hopeful that lessons will be learn't and the manager next season will be given extra funds to make us competitive.

 

I'm as anti edin as they come but if he just said something like look - we've lost x amount of income in ST sales, we're commiting x amount to the pitch work, without carrying a huge deficit or debt and risking the clubs futurewe're putting the rest, as much as we can, on the first team squad. it's not the highest in the league, it's fairly middle of the road in terms of League 1 but who knows what we can achieve if everyone works together and is commited towards the same goal then I'd gain some respect for him.

 

Player budget is one thing.
