Honestly think if Graeme Tomlinson had stayed with us, he would have had a better career by virtue of the first team games that he would have got under his belt. Can remember his debut; when we had the ball, the only thing on his mind was the opponents goal and his confidence for someone so young was startling. I'm afraid Ben's problem was between his ears.

 

He was plain unlucky. Man Utd had a very good record of bringing through youngsters at that time. I yearn for the days when I could name the England U21 side

You're correct with your comment with regards Stefan putting his faith in Edin but there were questions being asked from the very start, some with regards Phil Parkinson leaving and changes within our club, although Stuart got the club to Wembley there were comments (some called them rumours at the time) with regards the fall out between Edin and Stuart and the possibility of Stuart going, as you say Stefan backed Edin every time, thank goodness people with our club at heart told Stefan the truth and he believed them.

 

Which could mean many things but was, understandably, interpreted by most of us to mean transfer fees. We now know that much, if not all, of it was required to deal with Edin's financial lunacy.

 

Things have improved on the playing front but our position hasn't improved that much.

 

Is it more what hopkin said recently?

That the players not in didn’t have the right attitude or something along those lines. And people have put 2 and 2 together?

 

We had John O’Kane and Paul Tierney on loan as well, neither of them ever amounted to anything.

 

The bench will/should be stronger when absentees return. Akpan, Scannell, Mellor, Reeves ( interesting he has not been named as one to find another club), Colville. Maybe Robinson? It's the changing rhetoric from DH which my piss poor attempt at humor, fails to escape my attention!

In the squad. It's nothing to do with how they're in training.

So, to clarify, you are actually happy they are leaving or should I trawl through threads to find posts where you've slated all three of them first?

 

Yeah I know mate but they haven't featured as he is forcing them out.

I've no issue with that but our bench and some of the 1st team players are extremely poor.

 

This all might be part of Rupp supporting Hopkin. Hopkin may see the benefits in having a much trimmed down squad and therefore we might have to take a financial hit to move players along.

There is still plenty of time left in the window. The January window is an inflated market so I would understand the club waiting for the right deals. Hopkin has us playing well which has bought time as well. Loans will also have a bearing on what we need so we need clarification on that as well.
