Agree, those who think Donaldson should be coaching need their heads examining.. have you guys seen his misses.. ditch him now, he shouldn't even be in the squad.

 

Because some of our fans hold on to anything at City like a comfort blanket. Same as suggesting Trueman and Sellars should be given their old jobs back. Now they've had a piece of professional management they might not want to go back to training kids.

 

Every single member of the squad except Hornby, Canavan, Cook & Novak can go for me, including Callum Cooke who I really dont get the love for and think he flatters to deceive.

 

From the current squad regardless of contract situation I would only like to see us going into next season with Hornby odonnell Paudie Canavan Vernham Crankshaw Watt Cooke Sutton Novak Cook. Its a short list but I have to be honest and say the others just aren't capable of being part of a promotion winning squad for various reasons. Some of the others have ability but it's too limited and they are far too inconsistent. Billy Clarke and Donaldsons best days are just a bit behind them in their primes they would have both easily made my retain list although I may well be tempted into keeping Billy because he's done some decent stuff this season.

 

A short list? Id say your retained list is probably double the size of most on here

Ha I hear you I just think those players with better players around them could do well at this level and would be capable of the kind of football I want to watch. We need about 16 players in in the summer by my count. 3 RB 3 LB 2 CB 2 RW 2 LW 2 CM 2 CF

 

Hornby, Canavan, Sutton, Watt, Vernham, Crankshaw, Cooke, Cook, Novak and the youngsters.

AOC - Time to move on, he’s cursed.
POC - Touch and go whether to keep him. Hot headed but gives 100% and could learn a lot from Canavan.
Wood - offers next to nowt from an attacking sense and struggles to stop the ball coming into the box.
Evans - complete let down. No leadership skills to say he was captain at Portsmouth , poor in possession. Pay him off.
If Clarke or Donaldson are offered contracts we really are skint.
Ismail, Prichard and the rest not good enough.

 

You wouldn’t keep Hornby then?

 

Paudie and Evans are still under contract so can’t be released.

 

Keep Paudie and set up a “go fund me page” to pay off Evans.

 

I think donaldson would be a good coach, clarke you might as well because he'll only be hanging round outside the ticket shop anyway he loves city that much

 

I think donaldsons had a good career regardless of his time at city, and i think that experience would make him a good coach. clarke not so much

 

Clarke already does some coaching at City with the junior set up if i'm not mistaken, something like the u16s.

 

The ones out of contract who I see the club offering deals to.
Hornby seems to have overtaken ROD
Wood because even if he leaves I believe we would be entitled to some sort of fee.
O'connor versatility comes in to play CB RB and even midfield.
Scales alot of promise in the kid maybe needs to bulk up.
Novak already heard whispers a 12 deal on the table with option of further 12 months.
The rest I don't expect any new offers.

Those in deals wouldn't be surprised to see city try and offload a couple like Rod and Evans.

As for the loanees only Cook will city be interested in
